Newbie to the game needs help....

Hi all. I recently purchased the 2007 version of the game. I am having problem with starting a new game. I downloaded a roster and can't seem to creat a new league with it. I wanna do a standard 30 MLB team roster. I downloaded the one by CubbyFan and I can't figure it out at all. Can someone help me please? Thanks.

Quoting another member, injury log, from an earlier post here:

If you want to play 2007, download Cubbyfan's roster, unzip (your machine should be able to do this automatically), and drop the folder ending in .lg into your Saved Games folder.
That folder is in your My Documents, under Sports Interactive, Data. Do this when the game is off; when you start it again, select Load Game. The title of the folder that you copied to Saved Games should appear and be ready for you to select. I think it's "MLB07," IIRC.

I extracted it and it does not appear there.I thought the same thing. I am checking it over right now. Do I need to use Winzip or extracting it still the same. My computer just created a new folder. Maybe that is the problem? Hit me up on AIM if you have it. My name there is HockeyCenter15

I found WinZip to be much faster than the tool that comes with Windows. It may be that Windows is taking a long time to extract, during which you will see only an empty folder. There are a ton of files to download and decompress in CubbyFan's roster. It really is a complete game save, not just rosters.

Use WinZip if you can and you know how; it will do the job quicker. Also, I would extract to your desktop and then move the folder into My Documents, where we spoke of above, when it's done so that you can keep an eye on what is going on. This is better, I think, than trying to extract directly into the saved_games folder.

EDIT: Hey, I just realized something. I don't know if I should even be talking to you, pending the outcome of tonight's game (I'll give you one guess who is starting for the Tigers). But, that's OK. Here, we are all fans of baseball and OOTP.
