Controlling the expansion draft in OOTP8

I'm playing the demo version of the game and I know you can conduct expansion drafts, but what if I want to play as an expansion team? Is it possible for me to create the team and choose what players I want to pick in the draft or do I have to settle for what the computer chooses? Also do I have to set up the protection lists for each team or will the computer teams compile them on their own?

You can create a team, create it's minor league affiliates and conduct an expansion draft. You choose the number of players protected per team. You can then either have the AI do the protection lists, or you can do it. You have to expand by an even num of teams (so, at least 2). The expansion system is very simple....you can only choose a number to protect per team. You can't elect to protect major leaguers only, and you can't choose the max number of players a team may lose. The draft is set to 35 rounds...you can't change that.
