I was a fan of the Reds in the 80s. I know about every player who ever suited up for them. A great opening team for me. Of course, they won the WS in 1990 so maybe this could be an upset team. This should be fun.

Yeah, well we have Tom Browning, Jose Rijo, Rick Mahler & Danny Jackson. Plus Franco, Dibble, Charlton & Tekulve in the pen.

Offensively, look out for Barry Larkin & Eric Davis. Plus Benzinger, Sabo, Oester & O'Neill. And who can forget one of the better baseball names ever - Rolando Roomes.

And there's Charlie Hustle as manager.

I predict an upset.

My only other predictions will be:

Mariners nearly sweep the Tigers
95 Rox nearly upset 51 Dodgers
84 Mets win miracle in 19 games
99 and 91 Braves both win... vindication.
