I beleive the Phillies have the experience, but with experience they have age! And age isn't always a good thing. The glaring thing about this Phillies team is only 1 left handed starter against a team that is loaded with Lefties...My prediction upon further review...1991 Pirates 10-5.

Now lets take a peak at the 1915 Tigers versus the 82 A's. This should be an interesting match-up. So far in the tourny the more-modern Generation's have played better ball against the deal-ball teams. The A's have a lot talent, but mostly young or on off/down years. I can say I don't know much about the 1915 Tigers, but any team with Ty Cobb on it you have to be conerned...

Looking at these two teams, we start with the Managers. But the comparisions really end there. The 1915 Tigers seem to be the better team by far...although neither team had great bats, which could lead to a huge upset, the Tigers have more skill. How will this translate into a best of 19 series? Well if the Tigers have better pitching and most of the time pitching beats hitting (but the A's have none of that either). So when the dust settles I predict the A's going down 10-8.

I just picked against both of my teams...oh well...I am still rooting for them!!
