I'll edit the above post to include the National League leaderboard when I get home this evening...but if any readers out there (I'm not sure if ANYONE is reading this thing, but that's ok) see a name crop up and you want a bio on him, just let me know...whether it's a name you don't recognize or a name you do, I'll make sure to include it in an upcoming "weekly bio".

2010 Major League Amateur Draft

Top 10

1. Chicago Cubs- Jim "Tempo" Madison, SP, 21, San Antonio, Texas
This kid looks like he has it all, great control, great movement, and good stuff with a fastball that gets up to 96. He'll start out in Rookie ball, but expect to see this righty in the bigs sooner rather than later.

2. Detroit Tigers- Terry "Rattlesnake" Rich, SP, 17, Richton Park, Illinois
A righty in the same mold of Madison, this kid has good stuff and movement, but really relies on his pinpoint control. Just 17, he's a long way from ready, but he's got terrific upside.

3. Seattle Mariners- Steven Chase, SP, 16, Edmonds, Washington
Seattle got the local kid, this kid looks to be an innings eater. No real flaws in his game, he's not incredibly overpowering, but has three good pitches and stays in the lower 90s consistently.

4. San Francisco Giants- Jermaine Teague, RF, 18, North Ft. Myers, FL
The Giants get the best hitter in the draft. A big righty, Teague projects to have a lot of power, but also hit for average. No real holes in his swing, He might strike out a descent amount, but he'll get on base regularly. A pure middle of the lineup guy who will improve defensively.

5. Atlanta Braves- Samuel "Bullets" Jones, C, 17,Las Vegas, NV
Known more for his bat than his glove, Jones is a big time power hitter, who can hit for average, as well as extra base hits. He needs to work on his plate discipline, but projects to be a middle of the lineup guy. Defensively he's average as a catcher.

6. Florida Marlins- Michael Rowe, RF, 16, Maryville, TN
Rowe projects to be an on-base machine. He has some pop, but is more of a gap hitter, as well as a very good contact guy. He has great plate discipline, and amazing speed...the kind of guy you want at the top of the lineup. He's a good outfielder defensively.

7. Pittsburgh Pirates- Chris Meeks, SS, 20, Chicago, IL
Meeks looks to be a very good contact hitter and he gets on base with regularity. Has a descent amount of pop. He's a very good infielder, can play 1B, 3B and SS. Appears to be in the Derek Jeter mold, without the speed.

8. Kansas City Royals- Jack Stewart, CF, 19, Birmingham, Michigan
Stewart is a speedy outfielder who lives in the gaps. He loves to hit doubles and triples, and will also be a good power hitter. He needs to improve his plate discipline. Very good defensive outfielder.

9. Texas Rangers- Warren Stinson, 1B, 20, Washington Township, NJ
This switch hitter is your basic 3-hole guy, good average hitter, good power hitter, will get on base any way possible. Strikes out too much and has no speed, he projects to be a designated hitter, as he's subpar defensively.

10. Washington Nationals- Bob Parker, SP, 17, Waterville, ME
Parker is a control pitcher who lives on the corners. His stuff isn't great, and his pitches don't have a lot of movement. Has a good changeup.
