June 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 15th June 2011 First-Year Player Draft - Desert Riviera Hotel, Palm Springs, California This time we draft 33rd, but according to our scout director there are many prospects with star potential (OOTP 9 bug?). According to Baseball America our minor league system ranks 2nd, with newly acquired Walt Henry (3-4, 3.83 ERA - AAA) being the top prospect. SISA thinks we should have more talent at SS and in CF, while we are among the best at 1B, RF, SP and the bullpen. Charlotte, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Boise and San Francisco will draft first. News - Home - kicker online thinks the following ten players will be drafted first: C Peter Hull (21 years - C)SS Chris gar (22 years - C) 1B Mark Miller (18 years - HS) RF Rich Bryan (22 years - C) 3B Bob Nogusa (18 years - HS) CF Manuel Morales (18 years - HS) CF Jesús Santana (17 years - HS) SP Scott Dupree (21 years - C) C Francisco Martínez (21 years - C) SP Frank Bowen (22 years - C) |

![]() My game suffered quite a bit after changing from OOTP 8 to 9. Especially in terms of scouting and how the AI handles position players. Gave OOTP 10 a try already, but the AI waived around 100 big league players at once. So I will wait until the main bugs are fixed there. |

As you see there were dozens of star potential players in the draft. We have to wait and see how they develop, if they go down to normal, the dynasty will continue. |

June 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 24th June 2011 Some fellow readers told me, that 18-game winning streaks can happen. So we just keep playing and see what happens next. During Fielder's suspension Gamel and Braun (want him to have 1B as secondary position because he's not the kind of LF I like best) will share playing time at 1B. Next up the Phillies who were more or less on level with us during three of the last four season. But man this year they really play Rangeresque baseball, while their bullpen is a copy of the one the 2009 Indians own. Injury Report: Milwaukee: SS T. Plouffe (3-4 weeks) Philadelphia: n/a Game # 72 – Philadelphia [23-47] (K. Drabek 4-7, 3.70 ERA) at Milwaukee [56-15] (C. June 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 27th June 2011 So our came winning streak came to an end against the lowly Phillies and with a better bullpen they could have taken the series as well. At the moment - 16 game lead over the Reds - my main concern is next seasons payroll. At the moment we have no money for contract extensions and in worst case we will see a rookie at 2B and SS. Another option would be to trade away more veterans to reduce the payroll. We play a series against Boise who cooled off quite a bit after a hot start and some key injuries. Injury Report: Milwaukee: SS T. Plouffe (3 weeks) Boise: SP J. Katz (1-2 weeks) MR F. Carmona (9 months) C E. Munson (6 weeks) SS B. Crosby (6 days) RF J. Mayberry Jr. (7 months) Game # 75 – Boise [36-39] (E. Gonzalez 0-2, 3.44 ERA) at Milwaukee [58-16] (D. Bush 10-1, 2.77 ERA) Boise: LF Angel Fermin (.294, 5 HR, 19 RBI, 10 SB) SS Alberto Gonzalez (.245, 5 HR, 22 RBI, 4 SB) 1B Mark Teixeira (.249, 17 HR, 48 RBI, 1 SB) 3B Dallas McPherson (.122, 0 HR, 4 RBI) CF Joshua Flores (.284, 9 HR, 44 RBI, 7 SB) C Matt McBride (.241, 7 HR, 30 RBI) RF Chris Roberson (.286, 0 HR, 1 RBI) 2B Grant Psomas (.277, 1 HR, 11 RBI, 2 SB) Milwaukee: LF Lorenzo Cain (.419, 0 HR, 6 RBI) CF Justin Upton (.290, 10 HR, 33 RBI, 7 SB) 1B Ryan Braun (.307, 14 HR, 51 RBI, 7 SB) 3B Mat Gamel (.356, 11 HR, 42 RBI) 2B Rickie Weeks (.315, 13 HR, 51 RBI, 9 SB) RF Brent Clevlen (.293, 10 HR, 36 RBI) SS Mark Reynolds (.239, 4 HR, 34 RBI) C John Buck (.254, 4 HR, 20 RBI) Boise at Milwaukee: 3-5 W: D. Bush (11-1); L: E. Gonzalez (0-3) H: J. Díaz (12) SV: J. Fanego (1) HR: M. Teixeira (18) / M. Reynolds (5) SB: A. Gonzalez (5) / - E: A. Gonzalez (7) / - PoG: D.
