September 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 9th September 2011 Felt great to take three out of four from the Cubs, who should now be out of the Wild Card race as well. September 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 13th September 2011 Mets franchise 3B David Wright (.303, 15 HR, 75 RBI) will miss up to eight months with a ruptured collateral ligament. A big blow to wild-card bound New Yorkers, who easily took over as "Nr.1 team" in town in recent years. We lost the series against the Giants, but might have won the division before 20th September. The three other save playoff bets are the Kansas City Royals (85-58), the Florida Marlins (88-56) and the New York Mets (87-57). Injury Report: Milwaukee: n/a San Diego: 2B J. September 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 16th September 2011 Nothing special against the Padres, but at least our pitching seems to get ready for the playoffs. I also like the way rookie catcher Cuarenta improoves. We continue against the NL West with a three game homestand against the Rockies. Injury Report: Milwaukee: n/a Colorado: n/a Game # 147 – Colorado [69-76] (C. September 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche 19th September 2011 American League Player of the Week: RF Andy Frost (.429, 4 HR, 6 RBI - New York) - .311, 15 HR, 41 RBI National League Player of the Week: RF Jeremy Hermida (.500, 5 HR, 11 RBI - Florida) - .302, 39 HR, 127 RBI Our magicnumber is down to two, but the Reds are giving the Mets an unexpected battle for the Wild Card. The West is quite weak with the Dodgers trying to defend a 3,5 game lead over Arizona. The American League might see some uncommon faces in the playoffs; the Nationals, Royals, Mariners and Angels being in the pole position now. Rookie 2B Jose Santos (.357, 1 HR, 4 RBI) continues to impress and looks ready for a part-time role next season, when Weeks, Hudson and Freel are no longer with the club. There are also discussions to trade CF Justin Upton (.270, 14 HR, 50 RBI, 11 SB) and his $6,000,000 contract to free a spot for one of the outfield prospects. The only problem is that none of them is a fielder as close as good as Upton. Game 1 against the Diamondbacks will be a nice duell between Webb and Sheets. That trade in 2008 was maybe a key to our success with Reynolds and Upton being with us still. Injury Report: Milwaukee: n/a Arizona: n/a Game # 150 – Milwaukee [97-52] (B. Webb 18-4, 3.31 ERA) at Arizona [74-75] (B. Sheets 10-8, 5.51 ERA) Arizona: LF Carlos Quentin (.281, 28 HR, 79 RBI, 5 SB) RF Carlos Gonzalez (.295, 25 HR, 85 RBI, 7 SB) C Miguel Montero (.299, 39 HR, 124 RBI, 1 SB) CF Chris Young (.270, 24 HR, 60 RBI, 32 SB) 1B Conor Jackson (.300, 19 HR, 97 RBI, 3 SB) 2B Jamie D'Antona (.269, 28 HR, 88 RBI, 3 SB) 3B Chase Headley (.270, 10 HR, 51 RBI) SS Stephen Drew (.221, 2 HR, 13 RBI) Milwaukee: SS Orlando Hudson (.246, 4 HR, 29 RBI, 15 SB) 2B Rickie Weeks (.288, 22 HR, 83 RBI, 11 SB) LF Ryan Braun (.315, 31 HR, 107 RBI, 13 SB) 1B Prince Fielder (.311, 42 HR, 139 RBI, 8 SB) RF Brent Clevlen (.287, 16 HR, 58 RBI) C António Cuarenta (.271, 3 HR, 18 RBI) 3B Mark Reynolds (.234, 15 HR, 72 RBI) CF Armando Velásquez (.167, 1 HR, 3 RBI) Milwaukee at Arizona: 11-2 W: B.
