October 2011 - Milwaukee Brewers
Manager and GM Fritsche

31st October 2011

B r e a k i n g N e w s

The Brewers Badenian manager Andreas Fritsche announced today that he will resign from the team at once. Fritsche said that the shocking loss in the playoffs, the fans reaction and the inability of the owner to transfer cash into budget were the main reasons behind this decision. After guiding the Brewers to five consecutive NL Central titles and a combined 489-312 (.604) record Fritsche is looking for a new challenge. He said that the Brewers are so deep in talent that even Mike Ditka could lead them to success next season.

Just before Fritsche's press release, the league announced another expansion, which will take place in november. Rumour has it that Fritsche might be willing to manage one of the expansion teams if it's located "north enough".

November 2011 - Winnipeg Bisons
Manager and GM Fritsche

24th November 2011

The expansion team from Winnipeg announced today that they hired Canadian/Badenian Andreas Fritsche as manager and GM in a double function.

The new 6 team divisions are like this:

AL
East
Washington
Baltimore
Boston
New York
Charlotte
Tampa Bay

Central
Kansas City
Minnesota
Indianapolis
Cleveland
Chicago
Detroit

West
Los Angeles
Seattle
Oakland
Vancouver
Texas
Houston

NL
East
Florida
New York
Atlanta
Pittsburgh
Buffalo
Philadelphia

Central
Milwaukee
Cincinnati
St. Louis
Chicago
Toronto
Winnipeg

West
Los Angeles
Arizona
San Diego
Colorado
San Francisco
Boise

By this the league achieved a fair regional distribution and one expansion in every division.

November 2011 - Winnipeg Bisons
Manager and GM Fritsche

26th November 2011

The players that were left unprotected for the expansion draft were less than thrilling, but there were enough decent players left. Not surprisingly some veterans with big contracts like Barry Zito and Joe Crede were ignored by both teams. While we drafted to get the best ones with a fair wage/quality relation, Indianapolis went heavily for prospects. They took one of my Brewer prospects Charles Hill as the 1st overall pick.

An overview of our expansion draft results:

1st round SP Bryan Morris (from Los Angeles (N))
2nd round SP Josh Stinson (from New York (N))
3rd round SP Cory Van Allen (from Charlotte)
4th round SS/2B Joe Harrington (from Seattle)
5th round 1B Kendry Morales (from Los Angeles (A))
6th round 3B/SS Sharlon Schoop (from Buffalo)
7th round RF Jose Tabata (from New York (A))
8th round MR Héctor Martínez (from Boston)
9th round SP Randy Wells (from Chicago (N))
10th round CF Jason Place (from Buffalo)
11th round C Rey Gonzalez (from Colorado)
12th round CF Felipe Javier (from Cleveland)
13th round MR Christopher Armstrong (from Milwaukee)
14th round MR Michael Mehlich (from Atlanta)
15th round 2B Alberto Gonzalez (from Boise)
16th round LF Jin-ho Yi (from Tampa Bay)
17th round MR Zach Braddock
(from Milwaukee)
18th round SP Jacob Marceaux (from Florida)
19th round 1B John Cromsie (from Chicago (N))
20th round C Russell Martin (from Los Angeles (N))
21st round CL Stephen Shelton (from Boston)
22nd round MR Sendy Rleal (from Baltimore)
23rd round CL Dillon Wilson (from Buffalo)
24th round SP Gil Phelps (from Chicago (N))
25th round MR Corey Madden (from Florida)
26th round LF Justin Maxwell (from
Milwaukee)
27th round 3B Chris Davis (from Texas)
28th round RF Hiram Bocachica (from Vancouver)
29th round RF Will Jewell (from Charlotte)
30th round 2B Juan Jose Cisneros (from Seattle)
31st round 2B Billy Grant (from Vancouver)
32nd round C Michael Yates (from Washington)
33rd round 1B Eric Duncan (from New York (A))
34th round 3B Mike Cuddyer (from Chicago (A))
35th round RF Jonathan Baksh (from Toronto)

While our pitching should be quite solid - without having a real ace - our lineup has some holes, we lack a leadoff man and CF seems rather weak as well. So how about signing free agent Jose Reyes?

Our payroll is only $11,333,968 with Randy Wells ($888,720) the highest paid player.

The Hoosiers have an awful bullpen and a lineup that would have problems to compete at AAA.
