Professional Replay Baseball League 1948 Hall of Fame Ballot

Ethan is lazy so I am taking over the Hall of Fame ballot duties this season. This is going to be a HUGE ballot so I'm just going to list the player, their position, their ERA+/OPS+, and their best accomplishment (IMO). You can look up anything else you want by clicking on their player page. Those who do not receive 5% of the vote will drop to the Veterans Committee. If the ERA+ is "???" it means it is not listed in Cato meaning it is 107 or below.

10 vote maximum, anyone can vote. Go to it!

I wouldn't worry about Summers. It's a crowded ballot. Once we get rid of some of the chaff he will be in.

Hard to leave Rondthaler out, being that he's such a great leader.

That is being VERY picky...but with the way players stick around in this league...you have to be careful who you let in

No -- PIT's Cal Dupree did the same in 1927, but people seem to always forget about him doing so.

Ed Rondthaler - 114 – 274 wins, great leader

Gotta keep you on your toes.....Fontana's the closest thing that we've had to Ruth (until Grimaldi, of course). IMHO Colfax isn't as much of an icon as Fontana, and I'm voting for icons first. I personally can't believe more people haven't voted for Shifman. He dominated during the deadball era.

Fontana is the closest thing to Ruth? I just have to say that's an insult to Ruth. Ruth's OBP was literally 150 points higher than Fontana's. The OPS+ comparison is 207 to 122.

I just really dislike Fontana - he was nothing more than Dave Kingman, 50 years earlier.

You only hate Fontana because I couldn't pry him from the Braves after he was drafted.
