One of the new pieces of the puzzle here will be the addition of a Vulture League. The VL will be an independent major league where the talent is basically just a hair below major league, with some of the top players able to be major contributors at the major league level.

The idea behind a league like this is simple. Major Leaguers can't go there and the salaries are capped at a certain level and free agency lasts a long time there. It allows me to shorten the draft, since most drafted players are never that good beyond the early rounds anyway and then teams decide whether they want to sign players as free agents and try to win that way or cobble together young talent and win that way.

I'm still fleshing out the logistics, but I'm sure it's going to be an international league with 6-8 teams in it. The other thing is, that league might just be a league that I invite real people to participate in as a fast-sim diversion. I dunno how we'd do the schedule yet, mostly because I like being able to do seasons every day if I want to and I'd want this league to operate the same way with effectively two cycles.

I'm figuring out the details.
