SP Eugene Porter led the Brewers by pitching a complete game while only allowing 2 hits. 2B Joey Chapman helped the Brewers' cause with a 3 for 4 effort, scoring 3 runs and scoring once. Milwaukee Brewers - 8 Pittsburgh Pirates - 0 Milwaukee Brewers SP Eugene Porter ![]() Philadelphia Athletics - 2 Louisville Colonels - 5 Louisville Colonels SP Kent Weber ![]() Weber helped the Colonels to a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Athletics, pitching 9 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. St. Louis Brown Stockings - 6 New York Giants - 0 St. Louis Brown Stockings SP Sam Epley ![]() The Brown Stockings defeated the Giants 6 to 0 after Sam Epley allowed only 4 hits in 9 IP. Brooklyn Superbas - 5 Chicago White Stockings - 3 Brooklyn Superbas SP Greg Berry ![]() SP Greg Berry won Player of the Game honors for the Superbas. He allowed 7 hits of 9 IP, strikeout 6. The 3 runs scored by Chicago were all unearned.
