Just when it looked like another thumping for Brooklyn, the Superbas exploded for an 8 run 8th inning, capped by a three-run homer by Jimmy Sheckard. Then, just when it looked like Brooklyn was going to win two in a row for the first time this spring, Harry MacNeal gave up a 2-out, 2-run homer to Duane Hennessey to give the Beaneaters the 10-9 walk-off win.
