My Super World Dynasty

Yes, it is a super world league. These are the leagues added to the fictional and real world mods:

-eriqjaffe's CEB quickstart from OOTP14 (converted to 15 with modifiers adjusted similar to what HH and IBL are in 15)
-the NCAA Baseball Mod
-Canadian Baseball League (a 2004 game started by me on OOTP simmed up until 2013)
-As of now, four "junior leagues" at the HS level in America
-The Israel Baseball League, which will start in 2007 during the CBL mod
-The eight OOTP15 leagues (MLB, ***, KBO, CPBL, MEX, HH, IBL, SNB)
-Seven Caribbean Winter Leagues, with each league champion and the Cuban Champion meeting in the Caribbean Series)
-China Baseball League, which will form in 2009 in the CBL game.
-South African Premiership, the replacement league in the CEB quickstart for South Africa, with one minor league. This league will play from October to January.
-SLIP League, eight teams from Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan to replace the IBL during the CEB quickstart, with one minor league This league will play from October to January.
-Hawaii Winter Baseball. An eight-team league based in Hawaii.
-Australian Baseball League
-Baseball Philippines. A six-team league playing its season in the winter compared to actual summertime.
-Multiple Independent Leagues in Canada, US, Mexico, and Japan.

The league will also have Association Championships as follows:
-Confederation of European Baseball
In 2013, 21 League Champions will vie for the European Cup. (HH and IBL excluded for roster purposes, and the SM-sarja is omitted due to me messing up their schedule by accident) In 2014, the amount of teams competing for the European Cup will increase to 25, as the IBL, HH, SM-sarja and Israeli league will join.
-African Baseball Association
A Best-of-Seven featuring the SAP and SLIP League Champions for the African Championship to take place in February of each season.
-Asia Series
***, KBO, CPBL, and CBL league champions competing in a knockout best-of-5 to play in the best-of-seven Konami Cup Finals.
-Caribbean Series
As mentioned above, eight latin american winter leagues vying for the Caribbean Championship.
-Oceania Championship Series
The league champions of Australia, Hawaii, and the Philippines play for the Oceania Cup Final.

I will not take over a team until I expand MLB in 2016 or 2017. The team to take over is TBD, as it will be an expansion team from scratch.

I will post updates on the Inaugural European Cup in 2013, as well as the ABA Series. I will stop, to get the league to date as of March 21, 2014, to merge with the real world shortly.

There are club championships to be played after each league crowns a champion:

Asian Baseball Club Championship presented by Konami
The Asia series pits the champions of ***, KBO, CBA (China), CPBL, and BP (Philippines) against each other. Instead of seeding, *** gets a bye into the semifinals with the CBA and BP having a one-game play-in to see who faces the Japan Series Champion. The KBO and CPBL play in the semifinals, as a best-of-three. The winner is crowned in a best-of-seven format and awarded the Konami Cup. There is talk that in future tournaments, the Independent Leagues of Japan and Taiwan may be invited to play for the Konami Cup.

European Cup
The three major international leagues of Europe (Israel, Italy, Netherlands), plus the top 22 leagues of other European Countries battle it out in a 3-5-5-7-7 format, where the top seven champions will be given first round byes based on their winning percentage in the regular season. Champions are seeded 1-25, no matter if they won their division, league regular season title, or qualified as a 2nd seed/wild card.

African Champions Cup
This championship is a best-of-seven between the SAP (South African Premiership) and the SLIP (teams based in Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan) league champions.

Commonwealth Cup of Australia
This newly created Cup to replace the Claxton Shield (the ABL Champion is awarded this as of the 2010-11 season) pits the two teams that played for their respective league championships in the ABL, NSWML (New South Wales Major League), and the GBL (Greater Brisbane League). The ABL Champion and runner-up gets a bye into the Preliminary Final (Semifinals), as the League Champion of either the NSW or GBL plays the runner up of the opposing league in a best-of-three, all at the league champions home field. The winners then advance to face the ABL teams in a Best-of-Three to be played at the ABL sites. The winners then meet in a best-of-three championship under the 1-2 format.

MLB Announces Expansion, Realignment and Expansion of Playoffs in 2016

With the booming success of Major League Baseball, it is only fitting to see the league expand to 32 teams. The only downside: two markets get two additional teams. The league announced Brooklyn, NY and Atlanta as the additional teams joining the league. Brooklyn will join the National League, while Atlanta will join the AL.

With the announcement of the Atlanta Braves moving north to Cobb County in 2017, Turner Field will have a new occupant for 2017, but both teams will share the stadium in 2016.

The upstart Brooklyn franchise has been awarded to Peter O'Malley....yes, the son of the man who moved the Dodgers to Los Angeles after the 1957 season. He will be the Chairman and CEO of the Brooklyn Robins Baseball Club, and has partnered with Korean company E-land.

As for Atlanta, the team will announce a nickname at a later date. The principal owner will be the head of AT&T Mobility, Glenn Lurie.

MLB Realignment
The American and National Leagues will realign in 2016 to four, four-team divisions as follows:

AL East

New York Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays

AL South

Baltimore Orioles

Tampa Bay Rays

AL Central
Chicago White Sox
Detroit Tigers
Kansas City Royals
Minnesota Twins

AL West
Los Angeles Angels
Oakland A's
Seattle Mariners
Texas Rangers

NL East
Brooklyn Robins
New York Mets
Philadelphia Phillies
Pittsburgh Pirates

NL South
Atlanta Braves
Cincinnati Reds
Miami Marlins
Washington Nationals

NL Central
Chicago Cubs
Colorado Rockies
Milwaukee Brewers
St. Louis Cardinals

NL West
Arizona Diamondbacks
Los Angeles Dodgers
San Diego Padres
San Francisco Giants

Expansion of Playoffs from 10 to 12 teams
The league also announced the Wild Card Game will expand into the Wild Card Series. The four division champions plus two teams with the best record who did not win their division (dubbed "Wild Cards") will make the postseason. The two division champions with the best record will receive a bye into the Division Series seeded #1 and #2, while the division champions seeded #3 and #4 will compete in a best-of-three Series against the Wild Cards (3 vs. 6, 4 vs 5) in a best-of-three series that will take place only at the division champions home field. This eliminates home-field in the Wild Card series from the Wild Cards.

Commissioner Selig stated the league will re-negotiate with its television partners ESPN, Fox, and Turner Sports in regards to the Wild Card series. Currently, ESPN, Fox Sports, and MLB Network alternate with TBS which league is carried in specific years. This year, ESPN carries the NL Wild Card game while Fox Sports 1 and MLB Network carry the NLDS with Fox and Fox Sports 1 splitting the NLCS, while TBS carries the entire AL postseason, (WCG, ALDS, ALCS).

As expansion looms, TV packages to be adjusted
By John Ourand

Major League Baseball expanded by not adding two new markets to the game to saturate the possibility of threatening relocation. They expanded into two markets with teams leaving for greener pastures.

When the Atlanta Braves announced they would be heading 45 minutes north of the city into the suburbs of Cobb County, Georgia to serve hard time (R.I.P. Big Bossman), while the Dodgers left Brooklyn nearly sixty years ago. With expansion comes a renegotiation of the television package, as well as additional playoff content.

Here are the rumblings and grumblings about what to expect in the coming days:

-ESPN: will receive two Wild Card Series, one from each league. Their regular season package will be adjusted, with the addition of a possible Sunday night doubleheader, where provided.

The Sunday schedule will be drastically altered, as per a provision in the MLB/MLBPA agreement that states if the league expands, this kicks in the option to adjust the Sunday scheduling whenever possible when Monday is not a travel day for the road team or within 100 miles of the location of the game. This will only be exercised if/when possible.

-Look for ESPN to carry 30-35 Sunday night games. These will consist of one west coast game being flexed to a 9:05 p.m. ET (6:05 PT) start on the left coast and be played on ESPN2. Expect a minimum once a month and maybe the two Sundays before the end of the regular season to avoid conflicts with the NFL (San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Arizona) to maximize potential audiences.

-Fox Sports (Fox and FS1) will continue to alternate LCS coverage with TBS, with both having the rights to the LCS outliers for the LDS. They will also have the rights to a Wild Card Series. In 2016, this will be an NLWCS. MLB will attempt to push their playoff games that Fox has the rights to on Friday night into the death slot to be available on Over the Air TV, which would be the first time an LDS game would be on broadcast TV since the 2006 season. In doing so, expect a slight hike in the amount as Fox would have nothing to lose with the "death slot". One strong element to be seen is the addition of the Futures Game to FS1, after being on ESPN and ESPN2 up until 2012, when MLB Network began carrying the game.

-With the current structure being one outlet gets an entire leagues postseason (this year, TBS has all AL, ESPN/Fox/FS1/MLBN have NL), look for TBS to carry one Wild Card Series, with MLB network carrying Game 1 of the other and Games 2 & 3 going to TBS or ESPN.

-Speaking of TV deals, expect the expansion Brooklyn Robins to announce a joint TV deal with WNYW-TV and MSG Networks. The WNYW deal is expected to consist of 50 games, with MSG covering the rest. The 50 games are expected to be 24 of 26 Friday games (Fox carries NFL preseason games on Friday nights in August), Opening Day, and any Saturday/Sunday games that do not conflict with Fox's national commitments to NASCAR, college football, NFL, the U.S. Open, UFC, and MLB itself. It has been mentioned that the network will most likely air any games with a 10:05 p.m. start time when the Robins are playing on the west coast.

Another strong rumor surfacing is the O'Malley's may retire the jersey numbers of past Brooklyn ballplayers to honor the tradition: 1 (Pee Wee Reese), 4 (Duke Snider), 39 (Roy Campanella), and of course, 42.

-As for Atlanta, the leading name for the team is the "Firebirds". It is expected that the AL counterparts will seek a TV deal like Brooklyn's; split the games across local and cable TV. WPCH-TV would carry about 50-60 games, with the combination of Fox Sports South and SportSouth picking up the remainder. Atlanta AL would only be available in the Atlanta market and the surrounding areas, as it would be available to the sub-channels based in the Carolinas and Tennessee.
