Dynamo League (A Random Debut League)
Having done these in the past and having also been inspired by other current dynasties, I have started the Dynamo League.
This league is a 40 team league with the 30 current named MLB teams and 10 expansion named teams, so teams are starting in 2015 with just 26 player rosters in most cases. All rosters were empty and an inaugural draft was held. I am controlling the Mets in this dynasty but did not draft my initial players. Hoping this goes well with the shrunken rosters for now. All players entering in as older players will be screwed by history, it is random. Spring Training has not started yet, but baseball in Lagos is off to a strange start, with some of their new players
John Rocker has already checked into tolerance classes to deal with his new surroundings and Pete Rose has already been seen with members of the Nigerian chain letter e-mail service and it does not look good for Lagos fans if Pete starts swinging at pitches in the dirt. Meanwhile in Detroit, Stan Musial reportedly saw his outfield compatriot from behind Jayson Werth and thought he was a tall supermodel. Stan seemed miffed at Werth's apperance. Reports out of Kingston, Jamaica say that the new ball field Marley Stadium may not be ready for opening day. Geremi Gonzalez has already reported having atmospheric highs and is concerned about his control At Lux in Las Vegas, an odd trifecta showed up at the blackjack tables in Ken Caminiti, Bob Uecker and Tim Lincecum. The busboy at the hotel could not tell which player was the Freak. Should have some spring training reports shortly |

2014 New York Mets Roster
Here is the roster I was dealt with have not made any trades and just juggle the lineup early on so I can get a feel for the league and players. We have a big hole at 3rd base and probably will need to deal with that this season.
The Roster Major League Level (I started following baseball in the 70's, I will either give my take or look up who they are) Starting Pitchers (age) Bobby Matthews (24) - 19th century pitcher, back end of rotation for now Mel Parnell (27) - Solid pitcher with the 1950's Braves, he is our #2 starter Aaron Sele (34) - was decent at times in the ML for Bosox and was on the Mets at the end, backend starter here Jamey Wright (24) - MLB journeyman who is our #3 starter this season, hope that he can eat up innings Carlos Zambarno (24) major Cubs head case will be our ace this year, he can hit too Relief Pitchers Steve Arlin (23) - man who lost 20 games for the early Padres, mopping up here most likely Pedro Borbon (22) - strong reliever for those Big Red Machine teams, hoping for good power pitching in the pen with him Steve Burke (23) - stiff guy on the expansion Mariner teams, maybe new life here he will find something Eddie Guardado (26) - everyday Eddie of Twins fame, will be the closer here, and try not to use him that much Mike Holtz (26) - remembered as Angels long time lefty specialist and that is what he will do here Jim Lehew (24) - briefly pitched in the early 60's for the O's, he is a mop up guy here Catchers Art Kusyner (25) - remember as the 3rd string catcher for the Brewers when teams carried 3 catchers, or the guy on the rookie cards that never mattered, he is our 2nd string here, not good Hank Severeid (33) - he has a minor injury right now, and is our starting catcher, long time 1910's St Louis Browns catcher Infielders Jake Beckley (37) - our starting first baseman and long in the tooth, turn of the century singles machine, nearly had 3000 hits, well he will be lucky to get 500 in this recreationg Bobby Doerr (30) - our starting 2nd baseman and cornerstone player, dynamic player for the Boston teams in the 1940's Kid Gleason (35) - reserve guy on his last legs turn of the century player who drove in over 100 runs one year, with just one homer LOL Zeb Terry (29) - another reserve guy, played for 1920's Cubs Bill Schenck (27) - in this world, he is our starting 3rd baseman and that is not good, got up 386 times in the 19th century Erick Aybar (30) - shortstop, good sound player from the Angels he is 30 upon receipt which is not great Charlie Engle (26) - reserve guy, played for the 1930 Pirates Outfield Andy Dirks (25) - starting LF, Tiger guy that never popped in a big way, hopefully new life in this league Gene Locklear (23) - 4th outfielder type as he was with the Padres in the 70's Bobby Del Greco (19) - will play against lefties, he is young... mid 1950's journeyman, history could correct that Otis Nixon (33) - temperamental guy who once charge the mound with a crescent kick, he is a leadoff hitter with no power as he was with Atlanta Rick Reichardt (27) - our power guy in RF, he was a good power hitter for the 1960's Angels. AAA - Bossier City Fighting Lions We only have 1 player worthy of triple A RP - Joe Gannon (21) - made one start in 1898 AA - Wichita Cockaroaches These guys should be in Single A according to my scout SP - Kurt Ainsworth (25) - failed Giants pitcher RP - Ben Beville (23) - pitched 9 innings for Boston in 1901 RP - Hank Grampp (25) - pitched 5 innings for Cubs in 1920's RP - Henry Thielman (22) - pitched in Cincy in 1902 RP - Bob Wiesler (27) - weak Senators pitcher in the 1950's C - Danny Ardoin (28) - bad Rockies backup catcher C - Tacks Latimer (23) - had 19 this for 5 teams at turn of century SS - Jack Coffey (28) - Weak Boston Braves hitter in 1909 LF - Bob O Jones (24) - strikeout king for Rangers and Angels DL P - Bill Sayles (25) - bad World War II pitcher, considered the top propsect in the game in 2014, go figure |

Week #1
Well the major league season kicked off, and we were able to play .500 ball in the first week, getting swept out of the gate at home by the Miami Marlins and then returning the favor to the Cozumel Timeshares at home, to finish 3-3. We have pitching, and the hitting comes together at times, but the lineup has holes.
Game #1 Miami 7 Mets 1 WP - Bugs Raymond 1-0 LP - Carlos Zambrano 0-1 Homers Mets - Carlos Zambrano (1) Star of Game - Sid Farrar (Miami) 2 hits, 2 RBIs' Bugs Raymond goes the distance on opening day in our yard and some bad fielding opened up the flood gates, not to mention Steve Arlin coming out of the pen and not finding the strike zone. Game #2 Miami 5 Mets 3 WP - George McConnell (1-0) LP - Mel Parnell (0-1) Save - Kirk Saarloos (1) Homers Miami - Harry Stovey (1,2) A game in which Parnell pitched well but gave up the big 6th inning and Stovey had his number for the 2 bombs. Jake Beckley and Andy Dirks had 2 hits each and an RBI Game #3 Miami 1 Mets 0 WP - Sonny Siebert (1-0) LP - Jamey Wright (0-1) Save - Kirk Saarloos (2) This was a pitchers duel until Harry Stovey doubled in a run. Game #4 Mets 3 Cozumel 0 WP - Aaron Sele (1-0) LP - Mike Prendergast (0-1) Save - Eddie Guardado (1) Star of Game - Aaron Sele (7.2 IP, 4 hits, 6 K's) Mets wake up as Sele dominates and Bobby Del Greco delivers a 2 run pinch hit single. Rick Reichadt woke up and had 3 hits on the day Game #5 Mets 7 Cozumel 5 WP - Bobby Mathews (1-0) LP - Red Causey (0-1) Save - Pedro Borbon (1) Homers Mets - Erick Aybar (1), Rick Reichardt (1,2) Cozumel - Don Money (3,4) Star of Game - Don Money (2-4, 2 HR, 5 RBI's in loss) Mets took a big 7-1 lead due to those 3 homers but Money made it interesting with a grand slam to cut the game to 7-5 before Bordon shut the door Game #6 Mets 3 Cozumel 2 WP - Carlos Zambrano (1-1) LP - Corey Vance (0-1) Star of Game - Carlos Zambrano (CG, 1 ER, 4 hits, 9 K''s) Homers Cozumel - Don Money (5) Mets - Bobby Doerr (1) Doerr breaks the 2-2 tie with a homer off of Vance in the bottom of the 8th and Zambrano was a bulldog. Hank Severeid had 2 RBI's on the day ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Around the League Injuries Steve Finley (Cincinnati) is out 4 weeks with chronic back pains Birdie Cree (Cubs) is out 5 months with torn labrum Jimmy Walsh (Milwaukee) is out 5 weeks with strained hamstring Keith Brown (Cubs) is out 5 months with raidal nerve compression ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Accomplishments Pud Galvin (Minnesota) tosses a 3 hit shutout against the Texas Rangers Ed Summers (New Orleans) fires a 6 hit shutout against the Los Angeles Angels Johnny Bench (Atlantic City) collects 5 hits in a game against the Detroit Tigers Yuniesky Betancourt (Minnesota) picks up 5 hits against the Houston Astros Bob Ewing (Long Island) fires a 6 hit shutout against the Philadelphia Phillies Ed Walsh (New Orleans) pitches a 5 hit shutout against the Chicago White Sox Tommy Bond (Paris) fans 18 batters against the Atlantic City Harlots ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trades Long Island Riptides trade Johnny Welaj to the Boston Red Sox for John Martina ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Players of the Week American League - Charlie Keller (Melbourne Wombats) - 10 for 21 with 3 homers and 8 RBI's National League - Barry Larkin (Pittsburgh Pirates) - 13 for 28, with 4 HR and 10 RBI's ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Top Teams AL - Toronto Blue Jays - 6-1 NL - Long Island Riptides - 5-1 Worst Teams AL - New York Yankees - 1-5 NL - Philadelphia Phillies - 1-5 |

Special Profile
Been interesting having a 40 team league and 10 new teams with their own colors and uniforms, so I will have a feature on a player on these new teams to get familiar with posting screenshots and so these teams can be actualized by readers LOL.
Paris Triumph are off to a 7-3 start in their inaugural season playing in the American League East. One trip to Evian Field in Paris across from Roland Garrou Tennis Stadium and you can sense a different atmosphere for baseball. There are no peanuts and crackerjacks here. Fans bring their own cheese to the game and the ushers bring carving boards down the aisles, not to mention that premium wine can be served at any game. The Triumph have been lead by a "boy wonder" named Bond..... Tommy Bond. Bond had an incredible 18 strikeout performance already and is only 21 years old. (In his original life, Bond was a 40 game winners in the 1870's). Road attendance has been elevated when Bond is on the mound and Paris is leading the AL East in 2014 thanks to this ace: |

Special Report 2
Here are features on 3 new teams
Atlantic City Harlots are 6-8 to start the year, baseball is trying to carve a niche between the gambling and base of Phillies fans. Big issue so far are the call girls around the stadium and the other issue has been slot machines the concession Stands. Their top player so far is Khris Davis seen below Kingston Rasta are 6-6 and baseball has been doing well in Kingston despite semi high price tickets and the battle to name the stadium Marley Park. The top player so far has been Orval Grove seen below New Orleans Zephyrs are 10-3 and the toast of the American League, they are doing well and the sell out crowds at the Superdome make it even more bizarre that they never had a team up until now. Hal Trosky is fresh off of a player of the week |
