OOTP 16 - Houston Astros Franchise
Hello, and welcome to the 2015 Houston Astros Franchise, as chosen by you, the readers. This team has a decent farm, considered 12th by OSA ratings. Spearheaded by the stud Carlos Correa, who although wont start the season at the big club, will definitely come up soon enough. Other players I am hoping to build around are 1B Jon Singleton, RF Preston Tucker and SP Mark Appel. Roster Overview coming up next.

Astros Prospect Overview
Top 20 Organizational Prospects #1:Carlos Correa He Is a legit 4 or 5 tool player, that should have a hall of fame career. The only thing he doesn't have is a lot of power, however as he grows he could develop into a 30-40 homer a year guy. Regardless if he does this or not, this team has so much power anyway from 4, 5, 6 guys in Gattis, Springer and Carter. I'm very excited for his call up, I hope you guys are too.

Opening Day 2015
Oakland Athletics (0-0) vs Cleveland Indians (0-0)
4/6/15 Houston, TX - The 2014 CY Young Award winner got his season off to a great start with a decent performance on Opening Day. Kluber, although allowing 10 hits, limited the Astros to 1 run, whilst striking out only 4. The Indians got off to a fast start, with the second batter of the game doubling in the leadoff man Bourn. Keuchel was solid allowing 3 runs through 5.2 IP, but the bullpen faltered with Qualls giving up 4 unearned runs and Joe Thatcher 2 ER in 1 IP. The big blow was a bases clearing double by Jose Ramirez off Qualls, that blew the game wide open and they never looked back thereafter. The postives to take for the Astros, was every single player recorded a base hit in the game, with Hank Conger also homering. The Astros turn the ball over to Colin McHugh and he will be opposed by Carlos Carrasco.

Waiver Claim
The Houston Astros have successfully executed a waiver claim of Arquimedes Caminero of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the corresponding roster move, Samuel Deduno has been waived and designated for assignment.
