Purchase Baseball League

I'd like to present to you my own fictional baseball world. This 16-team league will represent the lands acquired by the United States over the course of it's history, for instance, the main league encompasses the lands of the Louisiana Purchase. The AAA leagues will be the Oregon Territories and part of the Treaty of Paris, the Great Lakes. AA will be the Florida State League. There will also be two rookie level leagues, the Gadsden League, covering Arizona and New Mexico, and the Texas League. I'm a history geek, so seperating the league like this was plenty of fun. I hope you guys enjoy.

Each state that was acquired in the Louisiana Purchase will have at least one team, with Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Louisiana having two franchises.

Here will be the inaugural cities. I will introduce each team in it's own seperate posts...

Bismarck, North Dakota
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Cheyenne, Wyoming
Des Moines, Iowa
Helena, Montana
Little Rock, Arkansas
New Orleans, Louisiana
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Omaha, Nebraska
Shreveport, Louisiana
Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Springfield, Missouri
St. Louis, Missouri
Topeka, Kansas
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Minneapolis, Minnesota

I'm going to stop here for now...I've noticed a problem doing the write ups...maybe someone can help me out?

I've noticed that no matter the population of a city the market size varies. Why is this? For instance, Cheyenne has had the smallest population but is a BIG market, while Des Moines has had the highest thus far and is a SMALL market club?

My question...are the market sizes just randomly generated or is this a mistake on my part somewhere?

I believe that they are randomly generated, although you can edit the market sizes. This thread has some information about a good way to set the initial market sizes:

Sorry about the delay in getting this started. Been busy lately and have gotten quite into my offline OOTP franchise. I will be able to get some work done on this probably this weekend.
