Grand Slam Switcheroo - changing teams every time I give up a Grand Slam

In this dynasty, every time my team gives up a grand slam, a "switcheroo" will occur and I will take control (as GM) of the team that hit the grand slam. I will make the change whether it happens on opening day or during game 7 of the World Series. I used this random generator to decide which team to start with, and I got the Atlanta Braves. We will be using stats only for this league in everything except the draft. Here's a look at the Braves situation on opening day.

Yes it will be. We'll have to see how it plays out, but I may end up thinking of something else if grand slams end up being too common.

Batting
.274 batting average, 1st in NL
.707 OBP, 5th in NL
103 runs scored, tied for 5th in NL
13 home runs, 14th in NL

Pitching
3.51 ERA, 11th in NL
93 runs allowed, tied for 7th in NL
19 home runs allowed, tied for 5th in NL
190 strikeouts, tied for 8th in NL

Rotation
Lefty Alex Wood, 6 starts, 2-1, 2.82 ERA, 1.07 WHIP
Righty Julio Teheran, 5 starts, 4-1, 2.61 ERA, 0.76 WHIP
Righty Shelby Miller, 5 starts, 1-2, 2.91 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
Righty Trevor Cahill, 5 starts, 2-2, 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
Righty Cody Martin, 5 starts, 1-1, 2.53 ERA, 1.19 WHIP

All of our starters, with the exception of Trevor Cahill, have performed well for us up to this point in the season. I have faith that Cahill (who isn't even performing that badly) can improve this season.

AAA Starters
Righty Matt Wisler, 5 starts, 0-4, 7.96 ERA, 1.73 WHIP
Righty Mike Foltynewicz, 5 starts, 1-0, 4.20 ERA, 1.07 WHIP

Righty Chien-Ming Wang, 5 starts, 2-1, 6.52 ERA, 1.41 WHIP

Our minor league starters have not been good, and you won't see any of them promoted any time soon unless there is an injury. In that case, Foltynewicz is the first man up, with Brigham second in line.

Bullpen
Lefty MR Luis Avilan, 9 games, 1-1, 0 saves, 8.59 ERA, 2.59 WHIP
Righty MR Brandon Cunniff, 9 games, 0-0, 0 saves, 6.10 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
Lefty MR Andrew McKirahan, 7 games, 1-0, 1 save, 6.75 ERA, 1.88 WHIP
Lefty MR Eric Stults, 5 games, 0-0, 0 saves, 4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP
Righty SU Jim Johnson, 12 games, 1-2, 0 saves, 3.86 ERA, 1.37 WHIP
Righty SU Juan Jaime, 4 games, 1-0, 0 saves, 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
Righty CL Jason Grilli, 10 games, 1-0, 7 saves, 1.69 ERA, 0.75 WHIP

The bullpen has not been nearly as good as our starters, particularly our middle inning guys. That is an area I will look to improve, either with minor leaguers, if we have any, or through trades.

AAA Bullpen
Righty MR David L. Carpenter, 10 games, 1-1, 0 saves, 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP
Lefty MR Donnie Veal, 10 games, 4-0, 0 saves, 4.05 ERA, 1.27 WHIP
Righty MR Jorge Reyes, 10 games, 0-1, 1 save, 4.26 ERA, 1.05 WHIP
Righty MR Kanekoa Texeira, 9 games, 0-0, 0 saves, 4.76 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
Lefty SU Ian Thomas, 10 games, 0-0, 0 saves, 0.93 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
Righty SU Michael Kohn, 11 games, 2-0, 0 saves, 8.27 ERA, 1.65 WHIP
Righty CL Aaron Kurcz, 11 games, 2-0, 6 saves, 3.77 ERA, 1.33 WHIP

Our minor leaguers are a little shaky as well, but Carpenter, Veal, Reyes, Thomas, and Kurcz could all get some consideration at some point.

Catchers
A.J. Pierzynski, 7 games, 0 HR, 2 RBI, .364/.462/.455
Christian Bethancourt, 24 games, 3 HR, 14 RBI, .388/.429/.647

Bethancourt has been absolutely fantastic as the starter, and Pierzynski has been great as the backup as well.

AAA Catchers
Braeden Schlehuber, 21 games, 1 HR, 15 RBI, .371/.392/.494
Matt Kennelly, 4 games, 0 HR, 0 RBI, .400/.400/.400

Schlehuber has had a great year so far and is looking like he can be reliable if anyone gets injured. If no injuries happen and we're still in contention around the trade deadline, he is a possible trade piece, although it's more likely we keep him to be backup next year since Pierzynski is 38 years old and a free agent after this season.

Infield
Freddie Freeman, 26 games, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .232/.330/.368
Kelly Johnson, 23 games, 1 HR, 16 RBI, .373/.440/.552
Chris Johnson, 5 games, 0 HR, 3 RBI, .182/.182/.273
Andrelton Simmons, 26 games, 0 HR, 8 RBI, .212/.257/.253
Jace Peterson, 25 games, 1 HR, 7 RBI, .172/.250/.230
Alberto Callaspo, 18 games, 1 HR, 2 RBI, .364/.400/.485

Simmons and Peterson are definitely underperforming. Both are still pretty young, so some time in the minors might do them some good.

AAA Infield
Barrett Kleinknecht, 24 games, 4 HR, 17 RBI, .320/.355/.515
Adonis Garcia, 13 games, 1 HR, 8 RBI, .267/.333/.400
Philip Gosselin, 21 games, 1 HR, 10 RBI, .276/.333/.434
Pedro Ciriaco, 16 games, 0 HR, 5 RBI, .236/.259/.382
Seth Loman, 4 games, 0 HR, 4 RBI, .250/.357/.333
Sean Kazmar, 11 games, 0 HR, 2 RBI, .174/.269/.261
Jose Peraza, 23 games, 2 HR, 8 RBI, .347/.411/.554
Corban Joseph, 14 games, 0 HR, 3 RBI, .273/.324/.333
Kevin Ahrens, 19 games, 2 HR, 11 RBI, .295/.357/.426

Gosselin and Peraza are potential replacements for Simmons and Peterson. Ahrens would get the call if we were in need of a third baseman due to injury and Gosselin had already been called up. Kleinknecht is 1st in line to be an injury replacement at first base.

Outfield
Jonny Gomes, 17 games, 0 HR, 1 RBI, .184/.238/.211
Cameron Maybin, 25 games, 1 HR, 14 RBI, .266/.333/.372
Nick Markakis, 25 games, 3 HR, 13 RBI, .344/.374/.484
Eric Young Jr., 25 games, 0 HR, 7 RBI, .312/.354/.376
Todd Cunningham, 4 games, 0 HR, 0 RBI, .600/.667/1.000

Gomes is the only guy not playing well. He could be sent down or traded at some point.

AAA Outfield
Cedric Hunter, 20 games, 1 HR, 10 RBI, .224/.361/.343
Joe Benson, 20 games, 8 HR, 19 RBI, .297/.333/.689
Kyeong Kang, 18 games, 3 HR, 10 RBI, .318/.416/.500
Eury Perez, 23 games, 2 HR, 11 RBI, .289/.366/.378

Benson is the clear frontrunner, but all of these guys are putting up numbers that make them worth consideration for the majors.

I'm definitely antsy. I always have to switch to pitch-by-pitch when the bases get loaded.

Gattis is hitting .232 with 10 HRs and 27 RBI, and was traded from the Braves to the Astros over the offseason for prospects. We are set at left field, so we rejected the trade. Even if left field was a hole for us, the price may have been too steep. I'm still too worried this team is going to fall off to start trading away prospects this early.
