The league has financials off. The idea here is that the league creators got together with the potential players and decided that everyone gets the same salary across the league. That way, everyone can be guaranteed a good living as long as they make the team. A, AA, AAA, and ML each have their own designated salary level so there is a monetary reward associated with moving up. When the league was created, there were two major concerns that led to this decision.
1. Everyone wanted to make sure that the league could survive and thrive for a long time. They wanted to be able to offer an affordable product to their potential fans and keep all teams financially solvent for the foreseeable future.

2. The league creators didn't want money to determine success in the league. They wanted player skill and organizational strategy to lead to victory.

PMBL teams play 126 games each season. They play 18 games against each of their opponents.

Three teams make the playoffs every year. The regular season champion gets a first round bye while the 2 and 3 seeds play a best 2 out of 3 series called the Wildcard Round with the 2 seed being the home team for all 3 games.
The winner of the Wildcard Round then takes on the regular season champ in a best 4 out of 7 series called the Metro Cup. The series format is 2-3-2.

The league started in 2016. It is now 2035. I will go through the history of the league up to this point. I'll start by giving a brief overview of each season up to this point, including some of the top performers each year. Then I'll give a little history on each of the 8 teams, including highlights, lowlights, top players, etc. After that, I'll start in January of 2035. I'll kick it off with the Hall of Fame voting results. I just ran the sim that showed me the results and the Hall of Fame finally has members. Once that's over, I'll work my way to opening day of the league's 20th season. I will not be GM or Manager for any teams at this point. I'm just running sims and watching the league develop. There has been discussion about a possible expansion and realignment in the near future but we'll have to see what happens.

I love dynasties where the league is all in one state, different than MLB where it is spread over the country. Keep up the good work.

2017-Building on a solid foundation

The second season of the PMBL saw new teams in the playoffs and new names on the awards list. Last year's champions, the Scottsdale Swarm, went from 75 wins to only 58 and finished 11 games out of the wildcard. Their Metro Cup opponent, the Tempe Roadrunners, also missed the playoffs, finishing the season with 2 fewer wins than the previous year and 3 games out of the wildcard.

I just touched down to Mesa this afternoon to catch some spring training games. Perfect timing to read this dynasty and actually be familiar with parts of the area!

You should go to a game at the new Cubs Spring ballpark if you get a chance. I went to a game there last year and it's really nice.
