The first day of Spring Training turned out to be a 6-5 win over the Phillies.

Cy Young did not seem ready but the Brooklyn batters sure did! Especially Cale Bernard who went 3 for 4 and knocked in 2 runs.

A solid game until Bill Carrick kind of fell apart in the 9th. Brooklyn lost 5-2 to the Beaneaters.

Ken Davis pitched 5 scoreless innings. allowing only 2 hits and striking out 7 as the Superbas beat the Cubs 5-2.

Frank Corridor pitched 5 scoreless innings and 3 relievers threw up 4 more zeros as the Superbas basted the Pirates, 11-0.

Sam Crawford went 3 for 5 and scored 3 times while knocking in 2.

The Cardinals out-hit, out-fielded and out-ran the Superbas today, beating them 8-4.

Jason Wright and Sam Crawford both picked up a couple of hits.

A closer game than the final score would show, Brooklyn was leading 1-0 going into the 9th. The final score was 9-2 over the Reds.

Ismael Cervandas allowed only one hit over five scoreless innings.

Frank Kitson pitched 4 strong inning and fell apart in the 5th. Brooklyn lost to the Cubs 10-4.

The Superbas hit TWO home runs today - one by Daron Robinson and the other by Billy Ware.

Finding new ways to lose, Brooklyn lost this in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out when Frank Murphy dropped an easy throw at 2nd base, allowing Jose Cortez to score.

The Giants won 5-4.

As the Brooklyn General Manager celebrated the fact that he would be born on this day, 62 years from now, Frank Corridon made his pitch to make the Superbas rotation, leading Brooklyn to a 7-4 win over the Reds.

Nelson Harper hit a home run.

Lew Richie pitched 5 scoreless innings but the Superbas were kept off the board all that time as well. Bill Keister broke things open with an 8th inning home run - his first of the spring - leading Brooklyn to a 5-1 win over the Phillies.
