The Schilling family returns to IBL ownership.
In a much ballyhooed move the son of former IBL owner Curt Schilling, has taken over as the GM of the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks, owned by billionaire Rudy Thompson Jr., have made the post season just 1 time in their 20 year IBL existence. A fact made even worse since they are coming off the worst year in the history of the franchise AND the league at 48-114. More news to come.

Looks like the previous owner took a nice profit in the final year, leaving you with no money if I read that correctly. Good luck with this!

April comes to a close
Needless to say this team is bad, real bad. I will spend another month trying to figure out how I can move some of these players for anything of value down the line. I made some attempts to sign a few hold outs towards the end of camp in hopes they'd remain healthy to the deadline and be of value to some of the contenders.
My top three prospects can't crack the top 100. I do have the 1st pick though so that might be a bright light at the end of a deep dark tunnel. No idea how I am going to get this team to win even 50 games. Top players this month by week April Award Winners And standings, months end. Love to see any variants of Shark jerseys. Guys put so much time and effort into the others, it's what makes the league so much more enjoyable

May comes to a close
The biggest news of the month was on the injury front. Former Koufax Award winner Stephen Strasburg of Salt Lake City had his year end due to a labrum injury.
Some teams cool down but Hawaii's Kurt Martin is having monster 1st two months.

Meanwhile
In San Jose the roster continues to change as we scour the waiver wire to try and acquire trade deadline bait.
There's immense morale issues in the clubhouse as no fewer than 4 players have come to the front office as well as two coaches. The draft pool is revealed to the public. Tons of potential here and our scouts are working religiously to make sure this 1st overall pick is a true difference maker. Given all the signings around the league we will have the following picks. 1, 45, 77, 122, 128, 159, 199 and 205 in the first 205 picks. I recently managed a deal with the Bulldogs to acquire their 4th rounder for my 5th and 7th along with relievers going in both directions. Right now the focus is on Chris Nolan and Stefan Feuerstein as possible choices. Both HS bats with huge upside. Work ethic is going to be a very large factor for us in this draft.

Hey, there's a few bright spots! We're not last in home runs or stolen bases or defense. There must be a few keepers on the roster.

Based off of that small scouting report, I could see Nolan getting the edge. What's the story with Hunt? He looks like someone who could allow you to draft an overslot at #45, and has the durable tag.
That said, Nolan's still my leader, based off of that small bit of info. |

2041 Draft
I had a few extra picks due to free agency as well as a great trade I made when Pittsburgh came looking for a veteran arm. I managed to get two young prospects and swap my 4th for the Bulldogs 3rd.
Here are the guys I've signed so far. I had to go with the safest bet at 1. NONE of the guys I had highly rated was very interested in coming to San Jose. I did lose a late flyer pick due to that. Also? Take a peek at his 1st game as a professional I also am taking the Epstein approach. I'm drafting bats early, and will try to buy pitching as it comes. I'll grab some arms early with picks if I like the fit, otherwise bats bats bats. 1st pick in the supplemental round And a few picks later
