September 9th, 2003... that's when this thread was started.

So, more than 8 real-life years and 43 game years later, I figured I'd post a little update because...

THE FREEDOM (formerly Locos) HAVE FINALLY WON THE CUP!

The first rebuild led to a string of 4 playoff berths in 5 years, including back-to-back team record 106 win seasons... but no title.

The second rebuild lead to a string of 8 playoff appearances in 9 years, including 2 FFL pennants... but no title.

Finally, the third rebuild got us into the postseason 3 times in the last 4 years, and this 3rd playoff trip of the third rebuild proved to be the charm!

OMG... that's an amazing length of time to play a league. My hat's off to you, sir! Congrats on finally getting that championship. Well deserved for your perseverance alone.

Indeed; a real life GM would've been canned or buried long ago!

If I ever catch up versions I'll probably take you up on that. I'm still using OOTP 10. Bought a house 3 years ago and still spending money and time on it

Been a lot harder to keep up with online leagues but I never really lost the itch.
