Is anybody else shocked by how well these organizations are doing? The 'Stros and their 11 outta 12 seems like an incredible stat to me. They really have to be the surprise of the tourney so far. Round #2 ought to really tell the story for all these teams though. Are they for real?

The Rockies offense seems to be inflated. Didn't Helton hit .450 in one group? That's just insane.

The Astros, if I remember, all had late '90 teams advance so far. I don't think anyone from the 80's has been up, but the '86 team will almost certainly advance as well.

The early Pirates is why their numbers are so inflated. Lately they haven't been as much a presence.

And you got me on the Expos. Your guess is as good as mine.

Helton was hitting around .450 going into September, but then he tailed off some. Nap has the tourney record at .435. But yeah, their offense may be a little inflated, but I think they will only take them so far.

The Astros have teams advance from the 70's, 80's, and 90's so far. They have had teams that have dominated in their groups and they also have had teams just get in by single game playoffs. It is just incredible though.

The Pirates in Group 19 will really tell the story on the other generations of Pirates teams(40's and 60's).

As you can see I don't post much on the boards, but I have followed the Dynasty Reports for a while. This is one of the best ideas for a dynasty which I have seen, like the idea of trying to find out the best team ever.

It is very impressive that you have come up with the idea and have made it work. I am sure that I would have quit once I realized how much work was involved. But, it is tempting to try something less complex after reading your posts.

I think that there will be some surpirses as the tourney progresses, but the winner will probably be one of the early favourites (27 Yankees for example). But after the last few years and the move this off season, I would really like to see an Expos team (especially the 94 team) win it.

Thanks for the kind words. It is quite a bit of work, but I enjoy the results so much, it has been far too fun to put down.

Yeah, the '94 Expos didn't get a chance for real, it would be nice to see them really advance in this tourney. I'd also like to see some other cursed, unlucky, "black sox" teams advance. The 1986 Red Sox and 1919 White Sox are 2 other teams I am "rooting" for.

Yeah, I am looking forward to Round #2 as well. Each round should get progressivley more interesting, at least that is what I am hoping for

The results have been very interesting so far. Lots of teams have gotten bounced that I never would have expected including your '88 Dodgers.
