Guys, I was wondering what types of things you would want to see in the group threads starting in Round #2? Right now the updates are pretty meager, but I plan to expand them some each round. Please let me know what you think is missing or what you would like to see. I want the threads to be as enjoyable and informative as possible for everyone. Feel free to post any suggestions to this thread, I'd love to hear any ideas big or small.

I think until you get to the sweet 16 or so, this system is fine. You started with so many teams to being with, it'll be a while until you really have to get more in depth.

You mean Round 3 right? Or as I like to call it The Sweet 256 What would you like to see when that time comes around as far as added depth.

Query. Once you get down to the sweet 16, the actual sweet 16, how are you gonna have them play out? I guess you could have a league with 2 8-team leagues. But what about when you have 8 teams? 4? Are you going to switch to a playoff system?

I think your updates currently really hit the spot.

Possibly for the next round you can add maybe a little more on anything general/interesting that is going on in the league. And yea, I like the fact that you say the records of teams of interest, it allows people to follow all the teams they love that aren't the top 5 worldbeaters.

Ah. What I was planning is to play Round #1(1024 Teams), #2(512), #3(256), #4(128), #5(64--2 Group) and then Round #6 is going to represent the Championship Group. In the Championship Group(Round #6) I will break the league into 8(4 Team) divisions . Each division winner will go into the championship, best of 9, bracket and the winner takes all. Thoughts?

Yeah, I try to list everyone that people have mentioned in their posts prior to my starting to sim. If I don't then you guys wouldn't know how your teams were doing till the end. I will also do that for individual players. I know some people have a particular favorite player and they want updates on him during the course of the simming. I am more then willing to give you Todd Helton's numbers afte each sim if you so choose

And I also assume you will like be taking the Division Champs and ranking them 1-8 and then having a bracket set up like:

1 Vs. 8
Winners of 1-8/4-5
4 Vs. 5
Semifinal Winners
3 Vs. 6
Winners of 3-6/2-7
2 Vs. 7




Though, I did have one thought that it might be a tad unfair to only take the division winners as some team might come in second in their division and finish with like the 3rd most overall wins. I think possibly taking four wild card teams would make it better, giving then the Top 4 seeds first round byes ala a lot of the NCAA Basketball Conference Tourneys such as the Big 12. Just a thought.

I went with a best of 9 because of the 3 man rotation, if it goes the full series then each team will use their top three guys 3 times.

You make a good point as far maybe taking the division winners might end up being unfair. Perhaps I should just take the top 4 from each league. I really wanted to limit the final bracket to 8. As far as it goes, if I go to 16 the 17th team will have just missed. So it really doesn't matter what I end up going with, a team or two will end up just missing the final bracket. Plus I didn't really want to see a #16 team with a record of ~80-82 getting into the final field.
