Just so you know I have noticed that teams from the 1990's seem to be having a slight advantage in this tourney. I am not sure that there is ever going to be a balance that will work perfectly across all of baseball history, but as of now I plan on changing up the league settings for round #2. I am going to try 1950's settings. I figure if I start it at the beginning of Round #2 then it will be fair. Rotation size, stolen bases, hit and run frequencies, etc. will all remain the same for round 2. I will just decide on an arbitrary date say 1954 and then hit recalculate for historical accuracy and go from there. I could tinker with the settings with some test leagues, but who's to say what numbers I should really be expecting to get. Please let me know whether you like this idea or not. Also if you have any comments or suggestions of any kind feel free to post them, I'd love to hear from you.

I'd say Modern Era teams have an advantage because offense is much better in that era.

I say leave it because it should be the same thourgh the entire tournament.

That is one of the main reasons, but I'd say that the 3 man rotation is also helping the modern teams as well. They are outperforming their real records because they don't have to go into their, in a lot of cases, pitiful 4th and 5th starters. That has meant more wins for those teams.

Well as long as you guys aren't put off by this, I will keep up with the same style for the whole tourney. Perhaps I will try this again in the future and revamp the settings and see how much of a difference it makes.

You are both right, the settings for this tourney should remain in place throughout the entire tourney. Well then on to Group #28. Round #2 is fast approaching now

No doubt. They have had an amazing showing in the tourney so far. It will be interesting to see how far those teams will get. As of now, I'd probably give them the organization of the tourney award....if there was one

Good group for the Dodgers. They have had the best 1st round so far, I think. So, so many teams, and they're getting a very high percentage through. The Astros have a good number of teams, but only 30% or so of the Dodger's total.

Good point, so far they have more teams through to Round #2 then the mighty Yankees, which is shocking to me.
