Well the Astros had a great Round #1, now we will see if they are for real.

After viewing how things shook out in Round #1, does anybody wanna go out on a limb and say who they will be the final 4 teams?

Let's see some predictions

My final 4:
1927 Yankees: Ruth and Gehrig crush their way here
1930 A's: Grove, Foxx, and Cochrane!!
1986 Mets: Great offense and great pitching gets them this far.
1920 White Sox: The Sleeper--Joe Jackson's and Co final year....

Semis:
1927 Yanks over 1920 White 5 Games to 1
1930 A's over 1986 Mets 5 Games to 4

Championship:
1930 A's over 1927 Yankees 5 Games to 4--Grove wins 3 to carry them.

Since you're using 3 man rotations, it's not surprising that the Astros did so well in the first round. In general, when the Astros have done well, they have had good/great rotations, especially at the top.

As the Colossal Tourney continues, it'll be less about pitching and more about which teams can hit the best. Because i'm guessing, after the 2nd round, most of the weak pitching staffs will be weeded out.

So the 98 and 99 teams are the Astros best bets. i'm still holding out hope for 80 and 86 though.

Third Round seeding will based on combined W/L for Rounds 1 & 2. I think that is the best way to go.

Actually there is no real roster file for this. What I do is import each team from Ankit's database. You can do this via the Edit League structure option in the League Setup.

They aren't done yet, I think they have a few teams that might sneak into Round #3. The '70 and '94 teams are pretty strong.
