I'm suprised you're taking '94 teams, but they still did play so I guess you should be using them.
No one sticks out from this group. More Yankee teams, joy. Sleeper pick: '47 Indians. Why? Why not! |

I used all the teams for the 20th century. Since I based my seedings on winning percentage, having shorter seasons didn't matter. I didn't want to exclude any years. Also the lack of a postseason meant nothing to this tourney, as WS winners are treated no differently then a team that finished .500. So basically I couldn't find a good reason to exclude any year.

Believe me I like to forget about the '94 season
But if one those teams was the best team ever, we are gonna find out what we missed out on in '94 ![]()

I predict the 1939 Yankees will wipe the floor with their division rivals. They had easily one of the most dominating seasons ever. If the 1977 Yankees, a strong 5th seed in this group, were in the same division they wouldn't finish within 10 games of the '39 squad.

Dagrims, I agree. The '39 Yanks should roll into round 2. In my opinion most of the teams that could have possibly challenged them('08 NYG, '06 PIT, 85 NYM) all ended up in the NL, so I think it is pretty open for them. But then again I have pretty much been wrong everytime

The 1988 Astros are a low seed, but with Ryan and Scott they have a shot. The 1939 Yankees are loaded on offense, will they pound their way to round #2? The Answers are coming.
