I see the '94 Braves, but I don't know if they can hang with the big boys.

I like your picks. I think the '94 Braves will linger around the .500 mark and the last month will make or break them. The '11 Giants should roll again unless Mathewson chokes. That is the only way I see them getting bounced this round. I think the 1929 Yankees will cruise into 3 with Ruth and Gehrig leading the way again.

But I won't gurantee any of these picks

i'm thinking (hoping) the 93 Expos and 87 Cardinals will advance. Looks like the 96 Astros and 88 Twins are heavy underdogs. Don't think the Astros have enough pitching. Twins could surprise though.

I forgot about the '70 Pirates! That should've been an easy pick to move on with. Those damn '98 Padres. Talk about a fluke team, in real life and in this tourney. The '11 Giants are hanging around, but need to do more damage to make a serious run, as do the '94 Braves. Hopefully Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz can rally around a weak offense to sneak this group in.

The two big Yankee teams ('24 and '29) seem to be having their way, also, and should just cruise right on in.
