Do you have to purchase additional positions? If so, is the cost identical to the cost for the primary, but then you reduce the range by the % above? Or do you reduce by the % first, then determine the cost?

I could be wrong... but...

I believe what he's saying is you can spend $240 on one hitter. Then you can buy two that cost $220 each, etc...

There's no cost for additional positions - you just get the range penalty mentioned. (For catcher with additional positions, the range penalty will be off the AI-generated catcher range.)

I'll sign on as the Racine Gladiators.

I'll grab the Bethel Park Blackhawks. We'll play at Purkey Field. I'll have a logo up and start my own thread with players shortly.

All right, here are the teams I've got so far...

Atlantic City Jokers
Bellaire Longhorns
Bethel Park Blackhawks
Cooperstown Legends
Corvallis Rivermen
Groton Sea Wolves
Pittsfield Hillies
Racine Gladiators
Utica Bluesox
Valois Vipers

That's 10 teams...definitely enough for two divisions and a playoff. With 6 more teams, we'd have enough for 2 leagues and 4 divisions.

And I thought I was going to get some real work done today...

Two questions that just came to mind, Elendil:

1) Are girls allowed to be players?
2) When determing the age of players, is it based on how old they are when the season starts or can it be what age they turn during the season, if they have an in-season birthday?

Oh and another question

When sending pics, do you want us to try and resize/reformat them to fit in the game before we ship them to you, or do you have that capability?

Thanks for asking this for me, Jestor.
If the answer is 'yes', I can correct a gender reassignment I just did on an IRL friend.

Sure, let the girls in. These guys aren't that great, so I'm sure some girls can hang with them. (I noticed that Racine has a pro women's baseball team...)

The computer sets age based on what DOB I put in. League date is technically April 1 right now, so everyone added will start out as the age they were April 1, 2000.

Edit: P.S. I do have resizing capability, so that's not a necessity, but if you're sending me 20-odd player photos of all different shapes and sizes, I'd appreciate your resizing them for me first. I can easily do logos on my own though.

Okay, thanks

And they had a pro women's baseball team back in the day.

Not anymore though. That was just a WW2 thing.

Damn good squad it was, too.

Nope, 1-5. And for both holding baserunners and bunting, you only need to pay for points above 1. So to get a "2" rating, you'd need to pay $1 for hold, and $2 for bunting.

Ah, the league of their own, yes... I just caught a glimpse of something on a quick search I did of "racine" and "baseball."

Or can we manage under a pseudonym?

I was originally thinking the former, but now that you mention it the latter makes more sense I think.
