Last year i voted for the only dodgers player there was.

okay, here goes.

1.Schwarz
#4 all time HR when he retired, 8 GG and of course, 5 WS win (But that means nothing on an individual basis)

2.Minzey
#23 in Runs and hits, and damn close to 3000 hits. also 4 GG.

3.Greishbach
#7 in Average and 2 battling title. that high average has to be impressive.

4.Liao
#19 in Hits, #21 in double, #17 in runs and #11 in base on ball. Perfect 1st hitter wouldnt you say? Especially for a Third Base.

i have to admit i should of added Misisca, but he just wasnt as impressive to me as Schwarz was. All offense, not much defense.
Probably Lamberty also, but he's on his first year, and isnt THAT impressive to get in on first ballot.

SO, you like Schwarz' stats but don't vote for a guy (Lamberty) who finished his career (many years later) 3RD in HR. Same guy also had 8 GG. Then there's Liao who you quote his 17th in runs and 11th in BBs. Yet Lamberty was 14th in runs and 2ND in BBs. Also 18th in RBI.

but then after your logic for last season I guess I'm wasting my breath.

Almost forgot my votes:

Kinnear
Greisbach
McAuliffe
Riley
Schukraft
Booth
Arkless
Minzey
Misisca
Breckenridge

If Lamberty doesn't get in this time, blame me. I like the guy and will vote for him when space clears on my list (he's my #11), but no BOY's was the clincher. Breckenridge was better than I ever gave him credit for, thanks to those years in Anonimity, PA.

Dave Arkless
Art Booth
Bud Breckenridge
Leonard Davie
Dale Lamberty
Dewey Mickelsen
Luke Riley
Terry Schukraft
Ervin Skjerly
Ted Stuart

I'm surprised I voted for 10, and had a 11th I left off in Ping.

Matt, you just clinched it, I think; Lamberty's not getting in. I can't believe it. The premier power hitting third baseman ever. He reminds me alot of Pie Traynor for some reason in terms of stature.

I haven't counted it up, but I hope to G-d at least The Human Torch makes it.

I kew that when I did it. I think he's a cinch to get in next year with, what looks like, 3 players getting in this year. I hate voting McAuliffe above Lamberty but I firmly believe those 3500 hits are so impressive, they're a must vote.

And would someone tell me why Art Booth gets practically no support?

Can't believe Lamberty isn't getting enough votes. Yeah his prime years for BOY got steamrolled by Oscar Vancini, but jeez name 3 3Bs in the 54 years of TWB who are better.

none that I can think of. Laio was good, Hempkins was decent, but I'd take Lamberty over both

of course my TWB history is still shaking

A guy's a hall of famer or he's not. There isn't a special room for the first year guys.

The reason I didn't vote for Booth is he has a relatively high ERA, and while he won a nice percentage of his starts, he doesn't have the 300 wins. Riley gets a vote because he won a higher percentage of starts than Booth with a lower ERA. Booth also walked a lot of guys and didn't strike out many (poor ratio). Booth is close, but with the backlog of deserving hitters, some guys get squeezed off the end of the ballot.
