My 3D park files (Version 2.0) are now available!

Hey Everyone!

I proudly present version 2.0 of my fictional 3D stadium collection.

The zip can be found here:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/std...dzdc/Fictional

Download and extract to your ballparks/models directory and you should be good to go with minimal in game configuring.

What's included?

14 fictional ballparks

Each Park folder includes:

1 3D model in .obj format (refined and fixed most texture bugs in V2.0)
1 Broadcast view image
1 Diagram image
1 .prk file which can be imported directly into the game in the ballpark settings screen. (this will import all images, park dimensions, wall heights, ball and player coordinates

What is not included?

regrettably, I do not have the time to fix every player and ball location coordinate for each stadium, they are for the most part close, but will need tweaking for those non 3D users.

no dynamic crowd functionality - Things changed a bit from the last time I worked on this and the dynamic crowd functionality based on attendance does not work. I have therefore decided to "hardcode" the crowd into the parks for now. Perhaps if I can get some help on getting this to work, I can include this for version 3.0.

That's about it. I hope you enjoy them. Feedback is always appreciated!

Mike

I'm getting TDR crashes in nvidia with these obj files. It's not present in the included parks like Yankee Stadium. That said I'm still using 2d view for now while waiting for the pbp to be properly synched, so at the moment it's not a big deal, and the fact that there are fictional parks with included dimensions and 2d files is good enough for me right now. Great job otherwise!

Ouch. I haven't experienced any crashes with my parks. I hope it is anything inherent in them.

I did further testing and there's soemthing wrong with the ootp3d files looks like. Deleting them and allowing them to regenerate allows the park to reload, but that isn't ideal since they don't regenerate properly either. However the 1.13 ones work so I'm using those as a stopgap for now.

When you say it doesn't regenerate properly, are you just saying the park grid isn't lined up?

Since your doing fictional parks, is there any plans on doing any fictional parks with a retro look to them? I love the look of your Shibe and Seals park and would love to see some more parks with a retro look to them. Again thanks for all the hard work you have put into this.

I wish I had the talent to distinguish "looks" in the parks I make. I really just make what comes to mind.

I am going to be doing more historical parks now though. Working on old comiskey now, plan on others like polo grounds, ebbets field, tiger stadium etc. once I do enough, I should have a better idea on the retro feel

Any chance you could add the Astrodome to your historical list?

Please do Baker Bowl. i use it for 3 teams across 3 leagues. i also have a request for this park to have a modification if possible for a fictional park.
Bengals orange padded wall or ivy on it and bleachers like Fenway on the RF wall.
Also want Crosley.

Yeah, but it's not too big an issue to redo manually with the tool. Really I think there's just some issue with importing a foreign grid possibly, as everything else works perfectly. Either way my expansion teams the Montreal Canadiens and Mexico City Conquistadors now have fully (Well mostly functioning, I have yet to fix the Mexican grid, as they're AL while I'm NL, so I'll get around to it when I actually have to see their stadium in a few months) functioning stadiums thanks to you, so cheers!

EDIT: seems to work on my new fictional league save, so I have no idea wtf the problem was. Maybe something in the MLB quickstart, or some setting, who knows. But it's working now so w/e.
