The data is in Access...now what?

Once the data has been imported into Access (or whatever tool you see fit), can this data ever be put BACK into the system?

Suppose you wanted to take coaches information, let's say, and put it into the game. Is there no other way to get it in than to go through the program and manually put it in?

Is the data dump a one-way transaction? Or is there a way to export, turn it around and import it back into the program?

Yep, it is a one way street, unfortunately...

You're right, it's a one way street. The data can be used for reports or whatever, but not for editing and writing back. There are some guys currently doing research on the database format of the .dat files. If they have success, then there will be a way to read from AND write into the files.

has anyone figured out how to edit the .dat files yet? i had some rookies imported to the draft, and i found out that they brought their carrer stats with them. so now my record books are all messed up. is there any way to fix this?
