A couple fields I'm not clear on....

Hello,

I'm wondering if someone can help me figure out what some of the fields in the database mean.

In players table:
"status" field (integer, values 0 through 6)
Is this something to do with retirement, injuries, roster status, something else?

team_roster table:
"list_id" field (integer, values 1 through 4)
Something to do with 25-man, 40-man roster??
I'm guessing
3 = 40-man roster
2 = 25 man roster
1,4 = DL?? Waivers??

players_contract table:
"team_id", presumably the team the player is signed for. Yet, each team only has about 12 to 18 players signed (the dump was done just before the June draft, so rosters should be full.) Does this only list players with major league contracts?

in a bunch of tables:
split_id - I think I get this, but just to confirm:
1 = Total
2 = vs LHP/LHB
3 = vs RHP/RHB

level_id - Again, just confirming:
1 = Major League
2 = AAA
3 = AA
4 = A
5 = Short A
6 = Rookie

Hmm, I'm playing with the status fields as well but mine are all listed as 0.

I have a 0-6 in the status field as well, I havent figured out what it means yet.

what type of dump are you using? I'm using the access dump.

Hmm, I'm using the access dump. I'll have to check out one of the others to see if the problem still exists.
