Ah, no rest for the programmer.

What started out as a simple thought has grown into something rather interesting.

The original plan was for online leagues to be able to see their player's ratings, so they know when to make moves and the likes. I wanted to take it a step further, ok, a couple steps. Why not have it also be a free agent report, a WW report, a team report, a position report, etc.

Well, here we now have AUDraft. The name is sort of strange, but what the heck.

It will load the entire league in a very cool fashion, then display 3 pages (so far) or information about the players. You can sort, filter and aimlessly click on stuff. It is color coded, with the better numbers getting a green color and the worse numbers getting a red color.

HTML OUTPUT! Yes, it will make 2 pages (for now), for EVERY team, that has sortable fields and also is color coded.

When completed, each HTML screen will have links to the other html screens and also a link back to the 'original' site. The players names and team names will also link to the correct pages.

Unbelievable, very, wery nice. Intend to use most if not all of ur utilities on my 1939 lg.

Question, how much disc space we talkin? I have a free xdrive account, 5 gb that am thibnkin of using to store ur output, What do u think of that?

one note....the arrows for the HTML sorts are backwards. descending should be down arrow and ascending should be up arrow.

Yes, it can be a very handy tool to examine the players of the league for offline leagues. In fact, the HTML was added last. The HTML is really just used for on line leagues, but can be used for off line also.

No it happens when I try to sort by postion and it never finishes

Are you picking a team first, or just loading and then hitting C after the page is colored?

Larry, am starting a 1939 league with finances off and all players in lg show up as free agents. It sorts for me but the blue sort bar stays in middle of screen

OK, just updated the program. Give it a try now.

The problem was that I added the team display option AFTER I had the position option working. It was leaving that sort routine because no team was selected and it was not closing the blue bar status window.

See if this solves your problem Targy.

I may have to redo that free agent and draft only part, I will look at that later on.

I updated the program a couple of minutes ago to change some of the color coding.

Most of the ratings in the OOTP game are the same from league to league, like stealing value, but some ratings, like Offensive Value, or talent_value vary from league to league. We have not an idea how these numbers are generated. But one league may have a player with a 1400 rating as being the highest in the league, while another league may have the highest player with only a 900. The color coding was based on a 1-1600 scale basically. I have now changed it work another way for these ratings.

It takes the highest rated player in that field, let's say it was 1600. It divides that number by 4 to give a value I call vmax.

Now, for the best color rating, dark green, it takes the highest rating and subtracts half of vmax, so in this case, it would be:

1400-xxxx

Now, the 2nd color, a lighter green would be

(vmax times 3) to (highest rating - (vmax /2)) -1
or
1200-1399

then: (yellow)
(vmax times 2) to (highest rating - (vmax * 3) -1
or
800-1199

then: (lightpink)
vmax to (vmax *2) -1
or
400 to 799

Then: (indianred)

1 to 399

This way, you have about 5 in the top color, and the rest vary.

This update just is for the on the screen coloring, I will do the HTML re-coloring next and then add the pitchers rating page that I forgot about.

I have now added the pitchers HTML code.

I have to tweak the draft report and the free agent report still. It will work for some leagues, but not other leagues.

Odd... I did not add any new components to this and it worked for you before.
