Hmmm.. I know it is blocking the ROY here. Are you using the default name for the award? I will check the code though.
I installed VB today and wanted to test it, so I added a quick function to the program. However, I am having trouble publishing it now and getting too pissed to work on it right now. I think I am going to go play some golf today and just say F.... It. BTW, the option I added is for historical leagues: It downloads a file I created from the Lahman database that contains all the players and the date when they died. The 1st version shows this: (From my season in 1968) Dead in 1968: Babe Adams - Rafael Almeida - Fred Applegate - Doc Ayers - Dave Barbee - Turner Barber - Benny Bengough - Al Benton - Hal Bevan - Lloyd Bishop - Bill Black - Lena Blackburne - Jack Bliss - Charlie Boardman - Dan Boone - Henry Bostick - Grant Bowler - This is historically correct and if you wanted to, you can update the dead.csv file with any new dead people. This file also contains the month, day, year, country and city where they died, so later, I will add stuff like: On June 5th, 1968, Hal of Famer Babe Adams passed away in Boston. He will be missed. For fictional leagues, I have another trick up my short sleeves. I will check for retired people that are between 80 and 100 years old and randomly pick one or two to DIE!! Maybe have 0-8 people die each year, showing their age when they died and some other silly trivia. The program will create it's own file to collect the dead people in it, so no one will die twice.

I'm getting an unhandled exception error when I try to select my league. It says "Conversion from string "Lil Evil Eye" to type "Double" is not valid."
Is this a problem with having the data on a drive other than C:?

I just moved my league to a different drive. I will test it this weekend.
Is 'Lil Evil Eye' a players name?

Just tried it with my league with no errors.
Make sure you have the latest CSV dump done. Also, hit the DEBUG button in the top right hand corner, then run it. It gives me more information to debug it, also slows it down slightly.

I always do a full CSV dump after every sim, so it's all there. I'll try it with debug on.

That text you pasted does not help. What I need to know is what section it was working on when it crashed.
Like the ID2 targy mentioned. By having debug turned on, it displays more information when the error happened. Targy, if you click the ID2 in the debug section, does it skip over that section and still work?

The answer is yes, I have been telling the program to skip ID2 and it works fine

Lil Evil Eye
While in the game, do a search for Evil and see if you can find this guy. It does search the nicknames.

It will let me browse for the folder, and the path does show up in the box, but the error happens every time.
Path is D:\Documents and Settings\Lester\My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\saved_games\SGCBL.lg

Eureka!!!
I found the player with that nickname by searching the CSV dumps. Couldn't find him using the game search. He is player #2488, and his name is "Sauron the Evil, Jr." Could it be that the nickname is too long? Or that the util doesn't like commas in the player name? Doing a search from the top of the players.csv file shows that he is the first ", Jr." in the file.

I could probably do a similar thing using the .dat files directly. Maybe I should have a word with Larry to see what sort of things he's pulling out and how it could be done with my direct access methodology.

So I figured I would edit the game and take the nickname of Evil Ways out and then do a new dump and see if the problem went away and it did not. It gets to the ID2 where it is gatherering game information and still I am getting an error

I think you're confusing my problem with your problem. Yours doesn't have anything to do with "Lil Evil Eye".
