Released 4.1.0b, which has some fixes for the draft:

- Fixed an issue where in some cases auto-pick did a terrible job of picking anyone good
- Fixed an issue where you couldn't draft anyone with a ' in their name (apologies to the Irish)
- Fixed an issue where your Selections list wasn't immediately updated after making a pick
- Fixed an issue where changing the sorts while you have a position other than "Batters" or "Pitchers" selected had no effect

This is safe to apply if you are in the middle of a draft. I strongly suggest picking it up for the auto-draft fix.

Released 4.1.0c, cause I forgot a few more small things:

- Fixed the Player Details panel on the Prospect Report
- Added 'prettier' names for Speed and Stealing in the development report (I started tracking these in 4.1.0)
- Added # Pitches as a column in the Draft utility, so you can easily spot those pesky 2-pitch pitchers masquerading as SP's.

Very minor update, 4.1.0d. Fixed two draft issues:

1. If Admin manually picks from the admin screen, fixed an issue where the manually picked player will keep getting picked if the Admin refreshes the page.
2. Fixed an issue where the draft email was not sent when OU auto-picked for someone who went past the timer.

Remember, install using the "Latest OOTPOU Patch for OOTP 11/12" link in my sig (OOTPOUPatch.zip) if you already have OU installed, or else you will overwrite your setup files (we had a few people make that mistake this last time. Once I get more than 5 hours of sleep a night, I'll make one file for new or patched installs)

The server is back, FYI. Also, another minor update, 4.1.0e. Everytime I think I squashed these little annoying bugs another one pops up:

- Fixed an issue with the cookies that was sometimes causing OU to not recognize you when you started a new browser session
- Fixed an error when running Last Sim on certain versions of Perl
- Fixed the player details panel when viewing development for an individual player
- Fixed a bug in the Draft Admin which wouldn't show the very last pick
- Fixed some other minor bugs

Hey,

This is for a server, not a home computer.

I have applied the most recent patch, and the draft looks better, but I have the following problems/questions:

1) I have recorded the trades under "traded picks" but the changes are not showing up in the selections screen. (I have double checked the year... The traded picks screen defaults to one year in the future, but it does not matter whether I put the changes in this year's or next year's screen, the changes do not affect the selections screen.)

2) I have enabled the draft timer, but I see no visible timer as commish, nor when I log in as a GM. Is this visible after the first pick is made?

3) I do not understand how to get the email alert to work. I have a mailing list in Thunderbird containing the email addresses of all GMs. Do I just enter the name of that mailing list as the distribution list? (As a test, I pressed the "resend email" button, but nothing happened.)

The Traded Picks screen will be used by the current draft when you generate the draft the very first time (or regenerate it if you start over). Once the draft is set up, you trade the picks directly in the Admin screen for the current draft.

Yes, the first pick is untimed. The timer will kick in after the first pick is made.

The distribution list is an email address that, if you send an email to it, it will distribute to all email addresses in the list. Most web servers come with this functionality, but you can use yahoo groups or google groups (they are free) also.

It sounds like you have a mailing list on your local PC, but that is different. It needs to be an email address that will automatically forward to a list of users.

Hey Getch,

Do the Development Reports work for Talent Only leagues? Like where you can hide the development of Actual Ratings but show Potential Ratings changes, fielding rating changes etc?

Yes. There are scales for actual and potential (and other ratings). Just set actual to "Scouted" and it will be kept hidden.

I'm very interested in getting OOTPOU to work with a Windows server running Apache. Anyone have any sort of experience at all with that, or willing to help me try? I've run plenty of IIS/Apache servers and have experience coding in Perl.

Ok, so I've decided to run a Linux server, Ubuntu 11.10, to run my web server, Apache 2.4. I've tested Apache with a basic "hello world" Perl script in the same directory as the extracted OOTPOU, and it runs fine, but when I go to run the ootpou.pl file - after chmodding it - I get the following error:

Quote:
[Wed Feb 22 20:50:45 2012] [error] Can't locate OOTPOU/Utils.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.12.4 /usr/local/share/perl/5.12.4 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.12 /usr/share/perl/5.12 /usr/local/lib/site_perl . /etc/apache2) at /var/www/league/OOTPOU/ootpou.pl line 17.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /var/www/league/OOTPOU/ootpou.pl line 17.\n
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance.

Does the file:

OOTPOU/Utils.pm

exist? Maybe you extracted all of the files into the same directory?
