Career average database wanted

A few years ago, there used to be a database that featured players' career stats averaged out, and represented as a single season. It was done by Arod and Garlon, who did a lot of good work with databases. Is it true that the database format has changed from earlier versions of the game, and that older databases (like this one) don't work with OOTP12?

I want to create a league comprised of custom selected players, assigned to "theme" teams. It would be similar in concept to Cooperstown's all time all-stars, but with different criteria for selection. For example, each team might consist of players with the same first name ...or something like that. I want the players to all be at or near their peaks, and I will turn off aging, development, financials, trading, etc.

I know that I could individually select a representative year for each player at the point of import, but the idea of browsing thru the records of hundreds of players and making that judgment is too daunting. Any suggestions?
