4500+ Generic Logos Free for the Taking

NEW AS OF APRIL 9, 2010

All of the logos are renamed, for better searchability, and made to be plug-and-play* (for new games) by using Layton is my Homeboy's Fictional Logo File Utility (this thing is AWESOME, check it out). Every logo has the logo name with all of the color codes that are needed. Just put them into your "logo" folder and when you start a new game they will create team colors, hat colors and uniform colors.

You can download the collection in small bites (<10MB each) at davmws' site, PT Sports.
You may download the whole collection in one big chunk (102MB) here.
If you are registered at FaceGen Central at Soxx Country (which is free) you can get the entire collection located in their Online Storage.
You can find all of them individually at Pictures by cephasjames - Photobucket. Photobucket, unfortunately, has a limit on the name lengths so they will only have the primary color, text color, and (seldom used) secondary color. These are the three main colors that everything else builds from, so you can just plug them into Layton's utility click 'Randomize', then click 'Rename' and you're good to go. Or even just plug them into the game and manually type in the info based off of what I've done.
silvam14 has put many of them into circle format. You can find those at Pictures by silvam14 - Photobucket

Design Note: When I renamed these using Layton's utility I made all of the uniforms white (because that's what I like ). If you want some or all of them to be alternate, colored uniforms simply plug them into Layton's utility and change them. It takes seconds.

i tried using one and it went all squashed. All the other MLB ones ive downloaded worked fine

Same thing happened to me. I dont know the exact url for the logos, but they were all logos where the nickname appeared on the logo. I can tell you the names on the logo, and if I get some time, Ill give you the exact logo:

Diablos
Senators
Capitals
Rockers
Hitmen
Lizard Kings
River Rats

One thing I notice is that the logos that are working from that site are all much larger in size than the ones not working. The ones that are not working are all like 3-9 KB and the ones that are working are all like 19-40 KB

I know what ones those are. I got those from here. I don't know if that would make a difference though. Did you try ones without names? If so, did they work fine?

Hmmm. Gotta be honest and say I have no clue why that would make a difference.

If there's a good explanation I'll see if I can fix it... if it can be fixed. Thanks for bring it to my attention though.

I didnt try any without names. They were for a fictional league, and I figured Id associate myself better with the teams if the nickname was on the logos. I just grabbed 16 various logos. 7 of them didnt work and 9 of them work fine.

I experienced this issue with logo PNG's that I downloaded, that aren't in RGB. See the following for details:

What I did to correct the logos that were squished, discolored, and off-center, was to do the following in Photoshop CS:

1 - change the image mode to RGB color (IMAGE - MODE - RGB COLOR)
2 - save the image as transparent PNG (select background w/magic wand tool, HELP - EXPORT TRANSPARENT IMAGE, follow wizard)

I also resized the PNG's to exactly 150 x 150 to prevent the squishing caused by non-square images (IMAGE - CANVAS SIZE).

Photoshop experts might know a better way to do all this, but it worked for me.

I just add 45 more logos! I am attempting to have at least one logo to coincide with the team nicknames provided with the game. Here is the start.
