(WIP) Fictional Universe in a Box 2007

EDIT: Version two is done! It can be downloaded at http://rapidshare.com/files/28630165/FUiaBv2.rar.html for now, but should be hosted at PadresFan's excellent mod site shortly. In any case, browse through the thread for some more details, or post if you have any questions, etc.

Version 2 now includes high school and college feeder leagues, as well as a host of small changes and bug corrections.

Well, it's that time of the year again! For those of you not familiar with last year's "Fictional Universe in a Box", what I'm trying to do is make a simple way to start up a pre-set fictional league, with logos, ballparks, uniforms, etc all made with some of the amazing community-made content out there.

Last year, this set included a World Template, some .DAT files to set up team colors correctly, and some uniform templates for Layton's FaceTool. This year, it's a bit easier on my end. I aim to include graphics for parks, logos, and uniforms (through which team colors can now be set!) so that once those are copied into the main OOTP data folder, all you would need to do is start up the template and everything will be all set and in place - - right down to the team colors.

I'm setting up either a 16 or 24 team league as opposed to a 32 team one this time around, since it's now easy to add in extra teams. I might just include three different templates (16, 24, and 32) if I manage to finish them all in time. I'll probably include a Japanese league as well as a Mexican one (no English this time around). So far, I have the ML and AAA teams done, down to the uniforms. I figure it might take me a couple weeks to finish up the whole thing. I'll try and do my best to hurry; I've a bit of a vested interest since I can't start up my own league until I finish!

In any case, some screenshots to tide you over...

Hopefully within the week. I just finished the uniforms for the major league and all five minor leagues; I'll post some screenshots later tonight after I make a couple changes. Will get to work on getting the parks set up next and then add in the Mexican and Japanese leagues. After that, I think the only thing left to do is double check league settings, schedules, etc. I simmed 100 years of the league and nothing jumped out at me as unrealistic.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, everyone. I actually just finished putting everything together earlier today. I'm in the process of testing it now. It's actually the first league I've "played" so far, can you believe it? I should be able to write up a readme/tutorial, zip it up, and have it ready to go either Thursday or Friday, but don't hold me to that for certain.

This'll definatly be awesome. I've been screwing around with a fictional league for the last week, but I can't seem to get any of the uniforms or anything right...I have absolutly no semblance of art skill whatsoever, so color clashes are eminent

Definatly looking forward to this!
