Circular Text using GIMP

Would anyone be kind enough to post a set of instructions on how to use the circular text feature in GIMP? I mean, city name arcing around the top part of a circle and the team nickname arcing around the bottom part of a circle. Thanks in advance!!!!

EnglishRay's help in the above thread was incredibly useful to me when I was struggling.
Just as a starting point try RADIUS 37 or 38, ANGLE FILL FOR TOP -60 to +120 for shorter names -75 to +150 for longer.
ANGLE FILL FOR LOWER -115 to -130.
font size 19 0r 20.
