You said you were using Blender, so naturally, you can model in greater detail with that program than I can by using Google SketchUp. Yet I like the ease of use I get with SketchUp and the fact that I can make a basic model in a relatively short period of time.
Here's a fictional stadium that I made today, which I realized has similar dimensions to AT&T Park, after I completed the high RF wall. ![]() BTW, I remember seeing that 1960s Yankee Stadium model when I was modeling mine. It was nowhere as detailed (or as complete) as it is now. It's simply stunning! Last edited by ry1220; 06-06-2009 at 09:56 PM. Reason: clarity |

Nice work, ry1220!
The first thing I did was create the layout of the diamond using exact measurements to get it as exact as I can. The nice thing about doing a fictional stadium is that, except for the diamond, you can do whatever you want. For the rest I just used my imagination. Blender is incredibly powerful. It took me a long time to get proficient enough to do the basics. Once you get used to it, it's fun...and still frustrating sometimes because I still make.
