Note to self: Always check Justafan's spelling!
![]() Justafan, where do you get the details for your circles? Do you create them yourself? I like them. |

Yep, I've been on this kick lately trying to get a new look. I do create them myself. |

Thanks, I did make an MLB set that looks more like poker chips not long ago.
I've been messing around trying to copy the highlight at the top of your shield in the other thread, but I can't get it exact and I like it. hmmm I've been trying real hard to stay away from effects though. |

That Effect comes from a Photoshop layer effect template.
I duplicate the original layer and put it on top, then use the "wow plastic" transparent layer effect on it. I play around with the opacity and layer style till I get a look I like. Last edited by Gern44; 11-11-2009 at 01:45 PM. |

I sure wish I had Photoshop, it is the standard, but I really like Xara Xtream too.
So it's a layering template rather than an addon effect. OK, that explains it. What's the name of it? |

I wouldnt call it a Layering Template... I guess I call it a 'template effect' because it comes with Photoshop. Basically, its under the effect you can put on a layer. You can create your own effects and save them, then call them up from the same menu, but Im not that creative... I just use the tools provided to me.

That looks good to me. The texture is a but too strong for my taste, but thats just personal preference.
I posted the template I used in a thread for Athletics if you wanted to download. There's a 300x300 pixel PNG and the 150x150 PSD. The 300 was too big to attach. Its in this thread: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...477-logos.html Last edited by Gern44; 11-12-2009 at 07:57 AM. |
