Thanks for your gift! Wish you enjoy Christmas!

The next team is
Tokyo Yakult Swallows

The Tokyo Yakult Swallows (東京ヤクルトスワローズ, Tōkyō Yakuruto Suwarōzu?) are a professional baseball team in Japan's Central League.
The Swallows are named after their corporate owners, the Yakult Corporation. From 1950 to 1965, the team was owned by the former Japanese National Railways (known as Kokutetsu (国鉄) in Japanese) and called the Kokutetsu Swallows; the team was then owned by the newspaper Sankei Shimbun from 1965 to 1968 and called the Sankei Atoms. Yakult purchased the team in 1970 and restored its original Swallows name in 1974. Then it was renamed the Tokyo Yakult Swallows in 2006.

The remaining two teams to be done. The first one is Hanshin Tigers.

The Hanshin Tigers (阪神タイガース, Hanshin Taigāsu?) are a Nippon Professional Baseball team based in Koshien, Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, and are in the Central League. Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Inc., owns the Hanshin Tigers directly. The team's circular logo is very similar to the classic Detroit Tigers logo, except that the tiger in the Major League version is orange whereas Hanshin's is yellow. The Tigers' cap logo is very similar to that of the New York Yankees and they often wear similar pinstriped uniforms.

Though they are the sister team of the American baseball team Detroit Tigers, they are frequently compared to the Boston Red Sox. Both the Tigers and Red Sox have an enthusiastic fan base and play in older stadiums. The Tigers' rivalry with the Yomiuri Giants parallels the rivalry between the Red Sox and the New York Yankees and like Boston, the Tigers have usually not prevailed, often losing in dramatic fashion near the end of the season. This has resulted in "curse" legends for both teams and to the Tigers' nickname of "Hard-Luck Hanshin." This idea is explored in Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan's 2004 book Faithful: Two Diehard Boston Red Sox Fans Chronicle the Historic 2004 Season where the Tigers are often portrayed as the Japanese Red Sox.

Former team name (s):

Osaka Tigers (1935–1940)

Hanshin (1940–1946)

Go! Go! Tigers!

Really thanks for your help all the way! Without your support, it is impossible to enjoy such great logo set!

The last team is Yomiuri Giants which is the Japanese version of Yankees!

The Yomiuri Giants (読売ジャイアンツ, Yomiuri Jaiantsu?) are a professional baseball team based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. The team competes in the Central League of Japan's top-tier major league, Nippon Professional Baseball, and they play their home games in the Tokyo Dome, opened in 1988. The team is sometimes called the "Tokyo Giants" in the English-language press, but like the Hanshin Tigers and Orix Buffaloes, the team is officially known by the name of its corporate owner. The team's owner is the Yomiuri Group, a media conglomerate which includes two newspapers and a television network. The Yomiuri Giants are regarded as "The New York Yankees of Japan" due to their wide-spread popularity, past dominance of the league, and polarizing effect on fans (baseball fans who feel ambivalent about other than their local team often have an intense dislike for the Giants; on the other hand, the Giants have a large fan base even in areas with a local team).

The Giants are the oldest team among the current Japanese professional teams. Lefty O'Doul, a former Major League Baseball player, named the team "Tokyo Giants". Yomiuri Giants name and uniforms were based on the New York (now San Francisco) Giants. The teams colors (orange and black) are the same colors worn by the National League's Giants, both in New York and San Francisco. The stylized lettering on the team's jerseys and caps is similar to the fancy lettering used by the Giants when they played in New York in the 1930s, although during the 1970s the Giants modernized their lettering to follow the style worn by the American Giants. The Giants' main rivalry is with the Hanshin Tigers, a team especially popular in the Kansai region.

The Giants are also unsurprisingly the richest club in the league after winning the championship continuously for the past years. They won nine Japanese Baseball League titles before the establishment of the two league system in 1950. Starting in 1965, the Giants won nine consecutive Central League pennants and Japan Series titles, in large part because of the hitting of Shigeo Nagashima and Sadaharu Oh. The Yomiuri Giants have won more pennants and Japan Series titles than any other team in the NPB. In 2008 season, they also managed to achieve a biggest comeback victory in Central League history, by recovering a 13-game defecit to Hanshin Tigers to the place of Central League Champion.

The team is often referred by fans and in news headlines and tables simply as Kyojin (巨人), Japanese for "Giants", instead of the usual corporate owner's name or the English nickname.

Former name(s)

Dai-Nippon Tōkyō Yakyū Club (1934–1935)

Tokyo Giants (1936–1946)

Tokyo Yomiuri Giants (1947–)

Really appreciative of your help in completing all Japanese logos! Right now anyone who is interested in simulating NPB's data can have good picture effects. No wonder, Justafan's logos makes this dream become possible!

If anyone who tries to simulate NPB as he does in MLB, jsut check the following resources:

murmur13's Japanese historical database

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...e-project.html

80’s & 90’s NPB Photo Set (I finished it last year)

http://web.mac.com/sixwilsons/OOTPMo...hotopacks.html

NPB's historical logos
Just check this thread, you can find what you want have been done by Justafan

I'm still waiting for No Pepper's fantastic work. He may release relevant NPB's uniform mod later. That will make murmur13's project become complete one in the near future!

Still missing your amazing logos! How have you been recently?

I am about to go back Taiwan for short rest. During this period of time, I may go to the library to browse very old baseball magazines. If possible, I''ll take photos of Taiwan's team logos in the past. When finished, I'll show them to you. Hope everything is fine with you!

I'm good, just been busy with other stuff lately.

I would love to see what you come back with. Hopefully the quality will be good enough to make more logos with. You can never have enough logos.

Have a good time in Taiwan!

Ran across this older post and really love the logos which were produced. I was hoping that you could produce a couple more to complete the teams in my Nippon league.

The teams are:

Kintetsu Pearls - Logo with the red "P"
Sankei Atoms - with the little flying guy
Tombow Unions - Attached Unions logo

Great website is here: j“‡ƒvƒ–ì‹…Œ¤‹†Š(ƒfƒUƒCƒ“‚©‚猩‚éƒvƒ–ì‹…‚Ì—ð Žj)

thanks
