Bobble visits this forum occasionally. Try sending him a PM. Click on 'Search', then 'advanced search' then search his name.

Yeah, I did those faces for Bowl Bound. The problem is that they're just pictures, they're not in the same format as the uniforms in OOTP. OOTP actually creates a 3D model behind the scenes and then snaps a picture to display. In Bowl Bound, it just presented the pre-made picture. So, for OOTP there would be several components required to get a similar effect as those Bowl Bound pics.
The grey background would be easy. You can just make a grey .png file and put it in the correct location. See this post for more info: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post2884133 The jersey is a little tougher, but doable. I think I remember someone a few versions ago doing NFL jerseys. I can't find it but you would have to do something similar to what someone did here for soccer jerseys: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...l-jerseys.html The big problem is hair. The baseball cap is a separate texture file. I believe it would be possible to have it not display a baseball cap (by having a file with an alpha channel of nothing) but I've not tried it. Even if you can get that done, you can't have any hair that extends off the head. It's as if every player in OOTP is bald BUT you're allowed to draw on their bald head with a magic marker to simulate hair. So, you can draw on various types of very short, close-cropped hair but you can't make any kind of fro or long hair that comes off the head. You can't draw on air, you can only draw on their bald head. I've put forward a method for having OOTP do long hair (about 2 or 3 years ago) but it would take a change in the 3D model and adding another texture file. If you want to charge ahead, this board is great for helping you out. I think you can get something close to what you want but it will be an effort.

I just gotta say that I'm stunned that 57 other people wanted to use the ID micropterus and that you had to settle for micropterus58. STUNNED!!!

I don't have OOTP I'm just making the player faces for my own football league...so I'm lost. Last edited by isixes27ce; 05-06-2010 at 03:57 PM. |

I use Paint Shop Pro but you could use Photoshop or the free GIMP. To get the jersey, I think I grabbed a picture of a random player from the player's page on the NFL website and erased everything but the jersey. That was one layer. The grey background was the bottom layer. Then I used the demo version of Facegen to create a face. I did a screen capture of that and put it in Paint Shop Pro. Meanwhile, I had gone out to the internet and grabbed pics of hairstyles I liked and erased the face. PLUS, I drew some of the hairs myself using this method http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...1-post152.html. Put the jersey layer on top, then the layer with the hair, then the layer with the face, and lastly the grey background. Save as .jpg. That's the process in a nutshell. Edit: Actually, I found the face pack here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...nd-addons.html
