A Pox on BMW

For writing that dang guide on how to do these. I easily get addicted to things like this... set not done yet, but I threw these 1988 Score samples together last night just for fun:

The red text under the position on the back of the card is still from the original image... bonus points to whoever knows who that is.
Also, is there a way to get the MIL, CLE team line in 2009 to not roll into the next stat?

Would that be Darryl Strawberry?

This is one of my favorite sets of all time!

There's no real way to stop that, unfortunately. You could make the font size one point smaller in order to gain the extra room - Score did have a much wider area for the team name. But it makes readability a chore.

I can think of a way of cutting off the column. But it would be abrupt, and not "intelligent." Have Year and Team on one layer, put a blank rectangle of the same color of the card background on top of it, and then put the stat columns to the right on top of that layer.

Here's a graphical example:

That was my first guess too. Great minds think alike.

Wow! These look great. Hey guys, this might be a Andreus or Markus question but is there any way to run a new baseball card for every player in the MLB at once? Also, is there any way to easily use multiple "card sets" within a league?

I've actually asked for a way to have cards progress through the years, so you can have multiple sets in your templates folder that are coded for seasons and OOTP automatically determines when they switch. That's the one remaining critical enhancement right now.

Being able to create cards for everyone on a team or in a league is further down on the list, but it is there.

A pox on the thread as it got me working on the 2009 UD template I started on. Front looks pretty clean now, still working on the back. Ran out of time tonight.

They look great...my only question is why aren't you using the historical facegens.

Ah, well, hmmm... this is really just a test StatsLab league. I never actually play with real players, so I never bothered downloading them, but MLB has the history to challenge StatsLab from a performance standpoint.

I'll see if I can't polish off this set over the next week or two.

Yep, most definitely intrigued by this. Nope, haven't downloaded the historical facegens yet, though. These are based on the original N28's using solid colors as backgrounds. They just happened to match the jersey colors, that wasn't done intentionally.

Those are just beautiful. You need to get them in its own thread so people know what's coming.
