Vintage graphics

Edit: Finished the graphics - see post #5 for a better idea of the finished project as color shades changed along the way.
Padresfan has posted them on his site also - Padresfan Mods

OOTP's graphics looked a little too modern for a league starting in 1871, so I started revising them.

Couple screen shots of what I have changed so far:

Any feedback is appreciated

p.s. This is my 'graphics league'. It is merely a league I created so I could load images into OOTP to see what they look like.

New screenshot. Darkened the headers as the white text was tough to see and added the bottom logo.

They would look even more of age if you used sepia facegens

I was able to wrap that up pretty quick this evening. The second screen shot is a free agent - I was able to change the free agent's uniforms also.

The zip file is too big to post here, but I will see if Padresfan can host it if anyone is interested.

I figured out through trial and error that the free agent uniforms are tied to the baseball_cap_base and body templates in the facegen folder. All you have to do is substitute any default jersey templates for the body template. I created the baseball_cap_base since there is only one default ballcap texture. There is only 1 color to the free-agent cap though, so I used the gray of the underside of the brim for the hat base then added blue stripes (these show up in the texture as green and red).

It has to be a default texture to work. I tried using a plain white jersey and the results were ugly.

These are the textures I used

md5423 - did you figure out there are 2 places?

For any one else that wants to know where to put images:

You can put the images in /templates/images/ and they will show up in all games.

You can also put the images in saved games/my game.lg/news/html/images/ and they will only show up in that game.
