Over the past few weeks I have started working on a set of uniforms for a new league I am creating. I am not sure if this is going to be my "Major Leauge" or just a "Minor League" out there. Basically its a league that is local to me...

The league is "The Delmarva Baseball League". It has 16 teams in it, and the rest of the details will be forthcoming. I will buy purchasing OOTP14 once I get these done, and hopefully by starting this threat I will be more inclined to get things done.

Georgetown was laid out in a circle one mile in diameter and centered around the original square surveyed by Shankland. This circle is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The new location proved indeed a much better administrative center and Georgetown is in fact still said to be "sixteen miles from everywhere" in Sussex County.

Dover is the home of one of the largest Air Force Bases on the east coast, as well as being the home of Caeser Rodney, he was named Brigadier General of the Delaware Militia.

Lewes was the site of the first European settlement in Delaware, a whaling and trading post that Dutch settlers founded on June 3, 1631 and named Zwaanendael (Swan Valley).The colony had a short existence, as a local tribe of Lenni Lenape Indians wiped out the 32 settlers in 1632.

The spire on top of the Court House — Delaware's Colonial capitol and first state house — was used as the center of the Twelve-Mile Circle forming the northern boundary of Delaware and part of the Mason-Dixon Line...

By 1868, Wilmington was producing more iron ships than the rest of the country combined and it rated first in the production of gunpowder and second in carriages and leather. Due to the prosperity Wilmington enjoyed during the war, city merchants and manufacturers expanded Wilmington's residential boundaries westward in the form of large homes along tree-lined streets. This movement was spurred by the first horsecar line, which was initiated in 1864 along Delaware Avenue.

A paper mill, the first sizable industrial venture in Newark, was created around 1798. This mill, eventually known as the Curtis Paper Mill, was the oldest paper mill in the United States until its closing in 1997.

The Kent County side of Milford was first settled in 1680 by Henry Bowan on what was known as the Saw Mill Range... In the 1770s, a ship building industry was already flourishing on the Mispillion River. Shipbuilding continued to be the major industry of Milford through World War I, bringing considerable prosperity to the town. The high point came in 1917 when the four-masted, 174-foot (53 m) long Albert F. Paul was launched from the William G. Abbott shipyard. At one point six shipyards were operating in the downtown area. When the last of the area’s giant white oaks was cut in the 1920s, the shipyards quickly went out of business, although the Mispillion ships sailed on for many years. (The Paul was sunk by a German torpedo in 1942 while sailing from the Bahamas.)

The Maryland flag contains the family crest of the Calvert and Crossland families. Maryland was founded as an English colony in 1634 by Cecil Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore... George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore, Cecilius Calvert, 2nd Baron Baltimore, Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore, Benedict Calvert, 4th Baron Baltimore, Charles Calvert, 5th Baron Baltimore, Frederick Calvert, 6th Baron Baltimore.

The land upon which the city was built, as well as much of the surrounding area, was obtained by Englishman Thomas Fenwick from the Native Americans. In 1869, businessman Isaac Coffin built the first beach-front cottage to receive paying guests. During those days, people arrived by stage coach and ferry. They came to fish off the shore, to enjoy the natural beauty of the Atlantic Ocean pounding against the long strip of sandy beach, to collect seashells, or just to sit back and watch the rolling surf. Soon after, other simple boarding houses were built on the strip of sand, with the activity attracting prominent businessmen from the Maryland Eastern Shore, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Wilmington... The town supports a year-round population of about 8,000, with the town itself being a major employer... The resort area accommodates approximately 8 million visitors per year.

I don't have the history of the name here, but it has something to do with VA being the Old Dominion state and such. Forgot to copy from wiki. I will try to find the information later.
