National Baseball League
This is my fictional National Baseball League (NBL). It is a league that started in 1980. From 1980-1989 there was 20 teams and expanded to 24 in 1990. The current format is 30 teams and 3 sub divisions (Easter,West,Central) and a wildcard per division (Atlantic and Pacific). I am currentley in 2016. The layout is currently like the MLB. You guys are welcome to any of these teams, I have only done 2 uniforms per team for the current season. I may add more and some throw backs too. The first is the Atlantic. The first 6 teams are in the East Division.
Hartford Dark Blues: The Dark Blues are in Hartford Connecticut. They are one of the original 20 teams. They won 2 championships in 1983 and 1984. They would then only have one playoff appearance from 1985 to 2000, winning the East div. in 1991. From 2001 to 2016 under new management, the Dark Blues have had an incredible 12 East Div pennants, 2 wild cards and 2 world championships. Hartford has been a mainstay at the top of the Atlantic East. |

Syracuse Stars: Syracuse is also one of the original 20. Syracuse would not make the playoffs until 1989. They would not make it back until 1992. From 1992-2001, the Stars would have 7 Atlantic East Pennants, 1 wildcard, and 2 World Championships. Since then they have only made the playoffs twice, landing the wildcard in 2008 and winning their division in 2012.

Portland Whalers: Portland is also one of the original 20 and is located in Portland Maine. They haven't had the success of their counterpart, the Portland Navigators which is on the other side of the country in Oregon. The Whalers won the Atlantic East pennant in 2004 and got the wildcard spot in 2005. Before and since then the Whalers have not had any success. There is rumor that the organization is up for sale and could be relocated. The fan support has been dismal as of recent.

Thanks guys!
Nashville Sound: Nashville is also one of the original 20 teams in the NBL. There success has been hit or miss through out their history. They have won a total of 8 pennants and have 2 wild card appearances. Nashville was at their best from the lat 87-99 with 8 trips to the playoffs and a World Championship. The team declined once the League expanded and realigned the divisions. They have made the playoffs twice recently winning their division in 2011 and 2015. |

Thanks guys! Here is the last team in the Atlantic East division.
Richmond Generals: Richmond was of the new teams in the 2000 expansion draft. They have not done to well as of yet, with their best finish of the 3rd in the Atlantic East in 2008. Even though the team has struggled, the fans have been behind them. |

The way Birmingham got their name and what it means: The Seabees have a history of building bases, bulldozing and paving thousands of miles of roadway and airstrips, and accomplishing a myriad of other construction projects in a wide variety of military theaters dating back to World War II. Since Birmingham was a city known for their steel, the nickname was a good fit. The NAVY SEABEE VETERANS OF AMERICA is also located in Birmingham.
The Atlantic West Division: Birmingham Seabees: Birmingham is one of the original 20 team of the NBL. They have won 12 pennants and have had 17 trips to the playoffs. They have also won 5 World Championships. From 2002-2016 they have 13 playoff trips and 5 World Championships. They won their division in 2016. Last edited by Robo; 06-10-2014 at 01:06 PM. |

Columbus Brown Sox: Columbus is also another team that was part of the 2000 expansion. They have not seen any success. Their best finish is 4th three times.

I made Columbus to resemble the old St.Louis Browns team. I have a throw back St. Louis Browns hat which is one of my favorite hats. It looks exactly like the Columbus white hat, except for the logo.

Thank You!
Louisiana Black Bears: Louisiana is one of the original 20 teams of the NBL. From 1981-1986 the Black Bears would win the Atlantic West pennant 5 times. Since then they have only made the playoffs twice 2000(Wildcard) and 2003(Atlantic West pennant). Since then they have been around 4th and 5th place in the div. Their management seems happy with .500 ball and the fans seem complacent also. |

Ottawa Monarchs: Ottawa has one of the most rabid fan bases in the entire NBL. Ottawa has rewarded their fans with plenty of good years. The Monarchs have 17 playoff appearances and 2 World Championships since the leagues conception in 1980. Their 2 Championships came in 1994 and the most recent in 2014. They have 5 Wild Card appearances and 12 Atlantic West pennants. They have only missed the playoffs twice from 2006-2016.

Incredibly original, fresh and believable as professional uniforms for teams in the game. They don't come off as fictional which is a top notch accomplishment. Very nice.

Thanks guys, that means a lot. I really strive to make these very realistic, I really appreciate those compliments. The logo I used for the Memphis Blues is a logo on I found on google for a rugby club in Memphis. I changed it up a tiny bit and changed the blue up. I will eventually do an original logo for them.
Memphis Blues: The Memphis Blues is one of the original 20 teams and hasn't seen a whole lot of success. They won the Atlantic West pennant in 1982. They would not make it back to the playoffs until 1997. From 1997- 2000 they had a nice little run, winning their division 3 times, finishing second in 1999, barely missing the playoffs and then winning the 2000 NBL World Championship. Since then they have been consistently finishing around 3rd-4th. The fan base is a loyal bunch and keeps supporting the Blues, with hopes of a repeat of the 97-00 seasons. |
