Eugene Church Needs League Logos, Team Logos and Jerseys for New Dynasty League
Greetings everybody,
It's been quite a few years since I frequented this Forum. I used to live here most of the time as you guys made marvelous logos and jerseys for my All-Time All-Star Association and Islandian Pro Alliance Dynasty Leagues. I am going to continue my IPA Dynasty, but not as detailed as before. I will only do yearly wrap-ups and not spend as much time on it as I have for seven years. I will concentrate on a much smaller Dynasty. 64 teams in the IPA was really difficult to cover. The new Dynasty will be one major league with six teams and two minor leagues with six teams each. I intend to cover the major league on a daily basis and the minors with monthly reports. Is it too much to ask for league logos for three leagues, 18 team logos and 36 caps and jerseys (road and away)? Away jerseys would only be needed if OOTP15 permits them. My new Dynasty will use OOTP15. If it is too much to ask, I totally understand. I can go and select the already made logos and jerseys, which would do very well for me, though I know you guys can create great custom logos and jerseys. You could work at your own pace to complete the project. Any modders would be welcome to post his work. I would post the colors desired for each franchise team and let you got at it. I am pretty much a traditionalist when it come to logos and jerseys. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated. No problem if it's too much work. Thank you for any help you can give. Not sure what era you are playing in however, over this thread, txranger and Knuckler have been hitting home runs, left and right, with all of their latest work that they have created for the community, for the last 2+ years.
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-uniforms.html Going through both of their Photobucket accounts, you will have no problem finding want you can use. The only problem I can foresee, is they having too many sweet jerseys and logos and you not having enough teams! |

I'm very familiar with knuckler's excellent work. He did quite a few logos for me for both my Dynasties, the All-Time All-Star Association and the Islandian Pro Alliance. He's unbelievably creative and talented and one heck of a great guy, too. I hope he has the time to contribute to my new Dynasty. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-29-2014 at 10:26 PM. |

Looking forward to your logos. Looking at your sites shows you are a talented individual and a wonderful OOTPB member.
I much appreciate you following my Islandian Pro Alliance dynasty. And thanks for helping out on the logos and jersies for the new Dynasty, too. I'll post the names of the teams soon. |

Eugene, I may not do many because you WILL get lots of help from people far more talented than me. I can assure you, however, that the team that I do will be my best possible effort.
It will be solid.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words but it is clear to me that I am not in your league. In any event, I can come up with at least one awesome set.
I figure I'll do one team. If I see the request fulfillment lag I'll do others.

Sorry, I'm greedy... the more choices, the merrier. I'll be able to update and freshed up the logos and jersies as the years go by in the Dynasty. |

I have decided to just have one 8-team league with no minors.
It will be a semi-pro league set in 1950, based on the Lauderdale County League in northwest Alabama. My cousin Charles was 8 years older than me. He was 18 and I was 10. Every Sunday afternoon he would picked me up and take me to his semi-pro game. He was a pitcher and I would keep score and keep track of his strikeouts. He was very good... struck out 18 in one game. I think Charles could have played professional baseball if he had wanted to... he really had a good fastball, but was a little on the wild side at times. I think he is the reason I developed a great love of sports, especially baseball and basketball, which I played. Following baseball in the newspapers helped my reading, vocabulary and arithmetic (figuring ERAs and BAs). I was really good in math as long as it was add, subtract, divide and multiply... in later years algebra, geometry, and trig really took its toll on me. So in his honor, I'm going to recreate that league. Of course, he will be in the league, but I will give him realistic ratings. I put him in my Islandian Pro Alliance and he fared pretty well. He wasn't a star, but he did play fairly well with a 241-226 record and a 4.08 ERA in 18 seasons. My new Dynasty League will be the State Line League.... teams in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi, all located within 30 miles of each other. The towns are located in the northwest corner of Alabama, near the Tennessee and Mississippi borders. It will be just a weekend league with a limited schedule. I will probably play out the games myself and not sim like I had to in the IPA with 64 teams to cover. 8 teams to cover should be sheer bliss. So here goes...
I will give you talented designers the names of the teams and suggested colors... I would like you to use my colors for the logos and jerseys in at least one version, but it would also be fine to create one with your choice of colors, too. I don't want to stifle your creativity. All logo designers are welcome to create logos for each of the 8 teams in the league... and also the League Logo. Florence Raiders, Monsanto Maulers, Russellville Travelers and Reynolds Ramblers were very good semi-pro teams from 1948 to 1954. Florence drew as many as 12,000 fans to some of its games. TV was in its infancy... most people didn't have a TV and with no air conditioning in houses, people had nothing better to do than go to a baseball game in the cool of the evening... 50 cents for an adult... 25 cents for a child, 12 and older... little ones got in free... the team owners sometimes gave away a new car to draw a crowd. I think Monsanto won the National Semi-Pro title a few times. They would hire college players in the Summer and all they would do is play ball for a hefty salary... same thing for Reynolds Ramblers. Pay for most of the other teams' players was $50 a game, but teams would go higher for the ringers they would sometimes bring in for a special game. Eligibility rules were pretty lax in those days. All Logo Designers: Feel free to use two or three colors... I included white, but you can sub something else, if you like. League Logo needed: State Line League Logos, Home and Away Jerseys and Caps for these teams: NOTE: I prefer plain logos... no shiny logos please... make them circle logos... don't they look better in the game? League will begin in 1950, but the jerseys and caps can be of a modern style, too. 1. Florence Raiders (Black with Red and White trim)... you can sub another trim color in place of white on any team if you like. 2. Reynolds Ramblers (Turquoise with Black and White trim) (the team is sponsored by the Reynolds Aluminum Company - see logos below for color) - just use Reynolds on the logo and unis... leave off "Aluminum Company)... you don't have to use the symbols in the Reynolds company logo unless you think they work well with it... In my opinion their logo is too cluttered... I tried to find out what the horse, snake and swordsman meant on-line, but found no references. 3. Russellville Travelers (Burgundy with Gold and White trim) 4. Monsanto Maulers (Navy Blue with Sky Blue and White trim) Also included their company logo below, if you want to create one with Green primary and Gold and Gray trim... they make products for farmers, hence the Green color. 5. Decatur Locos (Gray with Black and White Trim)... "Locos" is for the railroad industry which was important to the city's economy... short for "Locomotives"... also could be double meaning... "locos" as in "crazies". 6. Central Merchants (Orange with Red Trim)... team is sponsored by a group of local merchants... town isn't big enough to have the resources needed. 7. Tri-Cities Co-Ops (Red with Gray and Black trim)... team is sponsored by farm co-operatives in the area. 8. Corinth Copperheads (Reddish Brown and Tan)... see snake below Last edited by Eugene Church; 01-02-2015 at 01:07 AM. |

Let me know if I left any important details out.
Thanks to all of you who have offered to help me. It is very much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to my new State Line League. You can check it out on the OOTPB Dynasty Forum. I'm really looking forward to all of the new logos and unis for the league. Thank you. |
