Hi there. Looking for a logo update for the Toronto Barons of the CBL, and am interested in a crest-style image.

HERE is a link to our html page with current logo, for reference to current color scheme (which I'd like to keep). The red is our primary color.

In searching online for ideas, I came across this fantasy crest, which is a cross between Chelsea and Toronto FC's crests. pretty cool I think. What i'd like to to is use this logo with our current color scheme. I think it would be an easy fix for someone (i.e. not me) to make the following changes:
-Change "CHELSEA" to "BARONS" and "FOOTBALL" to "BASEBALL"
-Change soccer balls and flowers to baseballs and maple leafs
-Change the "FC" at the lion's feet to "BC"
-Do something with the colors. use the red and yellow from our current scheme. maybe use the gray that's already in the image for the circle? the gray is a color for Toronto FC.

I really like the Chelsea-style lion. however, the current bright/royal blue doesn't work for our team. I'm not sure what would look best, but i'd consider yellow, gray or even a really dark blue.

This is my poor attempt at creating the logo. Unfortunately designing logos is not my strength! I don't know the trick to curving text on the lower portion of a circle.

yeah it's tricky. this is as far as i could get. maybe it would serve as a stepping stone for someone else.

i had a hard time colorizing the lion and the red banner. just couldn't get it right.

i played around with it some more. any chance you could use this as the base image? these are the colors i had in mind. i just can't add the text, baseballs or maple leafs.

speaking of text, would a calligraphy font look good? for the Barons Baseball Club

so i played around with this logo in paint.net. I've had the program on my computer for a long time, but never used it because i would always get frustrated and quit pretty easily. this is the product at the moment. just posting here to see what you guys think, to get some advice and/or constructive criticism. nothing i did was advanced by any means, only what i could pick up in a matter of 4 or 5 hours.
