Lauderdale County Black Sox Logo, Cap and Jersey Needed

I am going to expand my new State Line League dynasty to 16 teams soon.

I still need a few more teams done.

Up next will be the LAUDERDALE COUNTY BLACK SOX... the league is set in 1950 and integration is just in its infancy... it's slow coming as most whites are still fighting it... I already have one team with three black players - 41-year-old Samuel Delaney and his two sons, Silas and Clayton - but I thought it would be unique to create an all-black team, too.

The State Line League is set in the Northwest corner of Alabama near the Mississippi and Tennessee borders... Lauderdale County has the most teams in the league... other counties in Alabama are Colbert, Franklin and Madison... teams are in Tishomingo and Alcorn counties in Mississippi and in Maury county in Tennessee... an all-black All-Star team would be nice to have.

I created a team logo, but the BLACK SOX name doesn't stand out as much as I would like on the logo... I would appreciate some of you Mod geniuses creating a masterpiece for me... try to make BLACK SOX stand out more on the logo... make it larger, but I hope you can include a black batter swinging the bat, too. (Thanks to cephasjames' great logo collection for the Black Sox player image)

Do your own thing if you like, but try to use my colors BLACK AND BROWN.

Do whatever you want on the caps and jerseys... you don't have to follow my instructions to the letter... I don't want to stifle your creativity.

Team Colors: BLACK AND BROWN with Bright Orange trim.

Home Jersey: WHITE with BLACK AND BROWN lettering... your choice of script or block... use WIDE TRIM on neck line and button line... see samples below... use either sample...whichever you think is best... you don't even have to use neck or button line trim if you don't like it. (Special thanks to reds1 for the sample jerseys below, showing the types of jersey trim)

Home Cap: BLACK with Brown LC letters trimmed in Bright Orange... block or script... your choice.

Away Jersey: MEDIUM GRAY JERSEY with BLACK lettering, trimmed in BRIGHT ORANGE... your choice script or Block letters.

Away Cap: BROWN with BLACK LC letters trimmed in Bright Orange... block or script letters, your choice.

Not necessary, but if you like, you can do an All-Black Alternate Jersey.
Do whatever you like.

I really appreciate all of the work you do for me... I apologize for imposing on you guys so much... but you really make my Dynasty league special for me and the people who follow them... in fact, this year my viewship has almost doubled in the Islandian Pro Alliance since you created 64 jerseys and caps for my teams... that's how important good graphics are.

If it's not too much to ask, I hope someone will do the all-black alternate set, too.

It sure would be nice if someone would work on revising the Black Sox logo, too.

I'm always a little nervous doing requests, since I'm not as good as others around here. I usually have to use Justafan's jersey maker, because, while GIMP works pretty well for caps, it's just so-so for jerseys. Since a lot of the best uniform-making guys haven't been around much lately, or are working on other stuff right now, I figured I'd save them some work and lend a hand.

Disagree with you... you do fine work... never fear filling a request.

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO MUFC1878, drizzlin, jotro and ThatSeventiesGuy for their time, talent and impressive work.

Sadly, you guys are a dying breed on the Forum... we are lucky to still have txranger... he's just about the only regular left... one of my favorite guys, knuckler, hasn't posted in several months now... he did at least a hundred logos for me over the years... and last year did about 50 caps and jerseys for my IPA.

I miss seeing knuckler's posts here... but I can understand him being burned out... he must have done several thousand logos and jerseys in the last 10 years.

I think I'm gonna have to learn how to make jerseys and caps... I can make a basic logo with justafan's software, but I often have trouble with the spacing on the Lettering... it gets out of kilter and puts large gaps between two letters. I don't know how to fix this... and I can't change the colors of the images I use... I have to use whatever the original colors are.
